It looks like write in votes for Ron Paul WILL COUNT IN CALIFORNIA!!! (AND Maine etc)

I'm not sure people are allowed near polling places I have never once seen that, the closest was on Prop 8 there were people down the street snagging folks moving in the direction of the polls. But I'm fine with flyers, and posting signs. right now I am in the process of notifying people I've been working with on this, though. Honestly, Ron Paul has such an internet heavy base, I want to get that low hanging fruit, and then work with meet ups about what else to do.

You can be up to 100 feet from the polling place. Here's the law - http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displaycode?section=elec&group=00001-01000&file=300-362 it is (sec 319.5)

The definition of the polling place is what you have to check with your local elections board. Where I am from it is the room where the voting takes place, which means we can stand right outside the entrance to the building because there is more than 100 feet between the doors to the lobby and the room where voting takes place. So check with your local election board to be sure.

I'm running next year, so I will be out shaking hands from about 7am till around 4pm when ours starts to die down.

Well, I notified my allowed share of Ron Paul meetups for the day and the people who sent me electoral forms in batches. If those who helped notify meetups to ask for electors can notify those ones they did that he is now expected to be certified on October 26, that would be great!

Fortunately, we have an unusual internet network, for getting the word out!

dunno man. our votes are gonna be split between ron paul and gary johnson. i also hope ron gets at least get a few % totally nation wide.

What's the average turnout at your precinct? It should be interesting to see how many votes you can personally generate. I'm not sure if you are physically able to do it, but your polls are open for 13 hours. You can have yourself a very memorable day working your location.

right now I am focused on notifying the maximum number of people likely to vote for Ron Paul. The internet is much more efficient for that, particularly since we are already organized on line, and that is where I will start. Signs will reach more people at more polling stations imho than flyers at one, and other areas will have more Ron Paul supporters than mine will. Moreover, a huge number of votes will be sent in before election day since you need no reason to vote by mail, here, and once you sign up for it you have to act to cancel it to not get a write in ballot in the future. I want to get those before they get out.

Then, when we have reached out to as many Ron Paul groups as possible, there will be more people available to discuss election day, or pre election day activities. I think a narrow aim such as you suggest works better when it has been planned from the beginning with people at targeted locations all over. It doesn't seem like the maximum impact for one person, to me.

Sure there is a lot if things you can do leading up to election day, but on the day itself, if you are able, you have 13 hours to talk directly with voters. It's a lot of fun

I've had to pleasure of working polling locations for nearly 50 years. It's a very rewarding experience, and will serve you well for your future political aspirations.

I'm glad you are looking forward to it.

I'll work out what we will do out here with people, once we have spread the good news. At the moment I am thrilled that Ron will be a certified write in candidate here in California, and I want to get the word out.
