It looks like Fox News WILL be giving Ron Paul the cold shoulder again

I was hoping they would give Dr. Paul a fair shake this time, given the far different environment we're in during this election. He has announced his exploratory committee, he won the SC straw poll, and he had those good poll results with Rasmussen, which FNC regularly refers to in its discussions.

But this morning, while talking about "possible GOP contenders", they had the photos of about 13 people up, none of which was Ron Paul. They even had John Huntsman's pic up! Who the hell is he? I've heard his name and that's it.

I guess I can't say I'm surprised, but I am angry.

LOL!

But now people are sensitized to look for it. I think it is going to backfire on them. He's polling 4th or 5th nationally, there was a poll by Rasmussen where he was in a statistical tie with Obama, and they don't even discuss him when they discuss 13 candidates?

Pretty pointed.

He has over 70% name recognition now. We won't be the only ones who notice.

So, getting into the debate doesn't make you a candidate? They're just pissy because they can't make the first debate a private club with them in charge of the membership committee, they way they did four years ago.

Well, Faux does have the least credibility to lose. When they lose the last of it, I hope we'll be there to let everyone know Murdoch has no clothes.

Other than FreedomWatch, I can't recall any Fox program listing Ron Paul as a potential candidate yet. Like you said, they'll include Jon Huntsman Jr., Donald Trump and Buddy Roehmer, but no Ron Paul.

They'll list Gurley L. Martin before they list Ron it seems.

I doubt it. He's anti-Fed and against a large government. Their appreciation for his support of public hangings won't carry him far, I'm afraid...

He is the "gop" candidate that in an amabassador appointed by Obama and Clinton and wrote adoring love letters to both of them. So, does that clear it up as to why the MSM might mention him? ie: he aint a conservative.

“You are a remarkable leader,” Huntsman wrote to Obama in an Aug. 16, 2009 note, underlining the word “remarkable,” “and it has been a great honor getting to know you.”

In an Aug. 10, 2009 letter to former President Bill Clinton, Huntsman was similarly effusive.
“I have enormous regard for your experience, sense of history and brilliant analysis of world events. Please save some time for me when I’m next in New York,” Huntsman said.

The msm with trump and others are going out of their way to make sure the republican primary is packed with liberals.

I think even Lou Dobbs likes Ron and Rand.

and of course Stossel.

But I was even watching FOX this weekend and a topic came up that was literally about how is the media covering the candidates. Ron Paul could have been sitting at their desk and they probably wouldn't have mentioned him.

I don't see why Ron can't specifically address this in the first debate. Ron should dedicate a full 3 or 4 minutes at various times throughout the debate talking about the media blackout and the disservice it does to the public and how it is unprofessional and unethical journalism. He should bring up specific incidences from 2007-2008 and make the case for how myopic these people were and how shameless their agenda is. I believe this could be very powerful. He should specifically call out Chris Wallace on deriding him for wanting to abolish entire departments, and he should specifically call out by name Carl Cameron for his tone and demeanor and the relevance of the "electability: Do you have any, Sir?" comment, etc.

not to mention many republican voters worship fox news and would just as soon elect bill oreilly to president than listen to anyone try to point out the extreme bias of fox news

Mostly, I think, because many Republican primary voters tend to think of this as a whiny distraction.

I think Ron could phrase it in a highly entertaining sort of joust that would boost ratings and, ironically, get a lot of press over the next several days.

What show was this on? I'm going to try to raise awareness about this.
It was the regular news programming, "America's News HQ".

Later on, I watched "Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace" and he had a lengthy discussion with a panel about the potential candidates, again with no mention of Ron Paul.

That's something you do in an interview, not something you do when you want to reach out to potential voters...

I really hope Ron can get the nomination so Fox is FORCED to choose between supporting Ron or Obama.

I remember in one speech Ron said something like, Fox ignored me during the campaign and since I've been on like 60 times. So, he has acknowledged it. One of my favorite quotes from an interview in 2009, "No matter how much they ignored and ridiculed our message, as was done in the campaign. No matter how much they did to us, it only energized the grassroots." :D

Exactly, the grassroots will be taking care of the media censorship. We as supporters can capture and record and email and call to bring the truth of what's TRULY happening when the mainstream media is trying to shut us up.
