Israel strikes Iran

Seven strikes hit Tel Aviv
The IDF headquarters was destroyed.
More hit other parts of country

Second round incoming right now

I'm just a voice in our little corner of the wilderness, but I'll repeat what I've already said about Iranian ballistic missiles:

So it looks like Iran did use some of their more advanced ballistic missiles, and proved that they could penetrate the “iron dome”.

That was a major message. Doubt the US MSM will be talking about that.

Because of the open secret of ballistic missiles, and how they easily penetrate the "Iron Dome", and can also get past THAAD.

I finally saw some statistics on the last Iran missile and drone attack on Israel. Drones and short range missiles can be shot down by the Iron Dome, as long as there aren't too many of them. But every ballistic missile hit it's target. No one is talking about that, but that is no doubt a great concern behind closed doors. And talking about it is probably forbidden and grounds for universal censorship. No worries, you are allowed to scream about Elon Musk and tariffs as much as you want.

Not necessarily. If I use electronic warfare and divert your missle and it doesn't hit a high value military target its cheaper than shooting it down.

You shoot down missiles you can't divert that will hit high value military targets.

If your multimillion dollar missle hits a McDonald's and nobody is in the building then you wasted the military potential of your gun.

That's how the iron dome is designed.

Sure, we'll take your word on that.

You only have a fixed number of missle interceptors so you use them to defend high value military targets like your F-35 jets.

If your enemy takes out all your missle interceptors targeting empty buildings then they can hit your F-35 jets.

That means you calculate the trajectory of a ballistic missle and figure out what it's going to hit before you decide if you shoot it.

Thats the entire point of the Iron dome or in this case even the system we have out there that we are using to intercept missles.

We have atleast 2 THAAD missle defense systems out there and hundreds of troops deployed shooting down missiles but there are only a limited amount of THAAD missle interceptors.

If you use one to stop a missle from hitting an F-35 its a good deal. There are only thousands of F-35 in the world and dozens of countries are on wait lists to buy the ones being built.

You made it obvious a while back you're programmed to sell these. But I have news. Admitting they're safer on the ground than in the air, and no more useful in the air than on the ground, during an attack is no sales pitch.

The F-35 is just a sword. A sword is only as powerful as the person who wields it.

It used to be if a lady in a lake gave you a sword you could be the king. Swords are a big deal.

Just sad state of affairs.

Obviously, US=Israel. So we started war with Iran. But to what end? Iran will not "win", unless you consider this escalating to WW3 is winning. I do not. That's an everyone loses scenario outside of degenerate billionaire bunker-pedo cult. More likely, is a contained hot war for a few weeks that turns into attrition war where many Iranian civilians suffer similar to Iraq. In the end, Iran will fall. Just don't see them winning even if Tel Aviv is leveled to the ground.

Only question is what China and Russia plan to do. We already know what US/Israel is planning. War of attrition until Russian/Iran/China capitulate to American hegemony, and humanity is a plaything of the global technocracy.

Thank God this is shitshow has an expiration date. Come quickly, Lord.

Well, it's been nice knowing you all. I live in a city that will definitely be a ground-zero nuclear strike and I pray the rest of you are either ground-zero so you can die in an instant like me, or far enough away that the fallout won't get you. It's the in-between zones that will be the real hell...

Fallout isnt a real risk its the power grid.

As long as you have a couple weeks worth of bottled water and non perishable foods and some iodine pills a nuclear weapon isn't a huge threat.

The only country that can threaten us with nuclear weapons is Russia and maybe France or maybe China and we have a military powerful enough to win a war against two of them at the same time while keeping the third one in check.

You're parroting the delusions of clinical maniacs. Russia has enough nukes -- that we know of -- to create permanent, global nuclear winter. You've forgotten the meaning of "A" in "MAD". It's not a joke, a real nuclear exchange will not be like a long-weekend campout, it will be the end of the world as we know it.

But hey, you've got bottled-water, I'm sure you'll be just fine... ;)

Modern nukes leave very little fallout. Fallout comes from having an unsophisticated and crude inefficient bomb.

They tested thousands of bombs for decades above ground and you know all it did is potentially make our immune systems stronger for the most part.

If the Soviet Union had never collapsed they would be a real threat. A lot of nuclear weapons and reliable and efficient delivery methods are incredibly expensive.

In a nuclear war the USA would be able to defeat a tremendous amount of that capability.

They aren't the fastest gun in the west.

I'm sitting pretty - located midway between Scott Air Force Base (home to TRANSCOM, the logistics center for the DoD; and Air Mobility Command, command and control for air refueling and air logistics) on the eastern side, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agengy on the western side. If the missiles for those don't get me then I expect I'll probably get some additional attention from the MIRVs they'll be sending to take out Boeing's assembly complex for the F-15, F-18, T-7A and upcoming F-47, as well as the ones they'll be sending to St. Charles to take out the assembly complex for cruise missiles, JDAMs, and SDBs. They'll probably lay out an impact matrix to take out everything within a 35 mile radius of the St. Louis Gateway Arch.
