Sure grabbing up the Japanese during World War Two looks like a bummer to many of us in retrospect, someone that lived through the times explained an aspect that seems over looked now.

He said that when the war broke out the people we were at war with were mostly very far away. The only ones people could get their hands on were the ones here at home. He added that in a large part picking them up was for their own protection. People were frustrated and were lashing out. Sometimes doing a little drinking and working themselves up. I remember lashing out with obscenities as a kid. I wasn't even alive or part of the war but the stigma and hate takes time to heal.

The castles are for our guests in Europe. But we do have some padded rooms available.
