i believe it was done before. Almost all polls use more than one day. The wording somewhat suggests it was post-poll but i think the poll probably was done a couple days before the straw poll.

It's a "CNN/ORC International" poll. ORC International is a polling org. Not sure why CNN stopped using Gallup?

I used to work for Gallup and we always did the polls for CNN, AP, and a few others. Gallup really knows their business and gets it right.
