That is a nice looking coin though! Are there any 1oz gold ones around?

Norfed stamped 1 ounce coins like the one pictured in copper, silver and gold.

A cursory search on google and ebay came up with zero gold rounds for sale.

norfed rarely makes gold , but they do, and I never heard anybody buying, because its way overpriced. and I don't think people back then who had over $1000 would rather not have donated it to the campaign or something.

No problem. No I don't think it's realistic either, I was just throwing it out there to gauge reaction, and maybe see if any are in "offline" circulation and what they are selling for.

even ones that have numbers or hallmarks or Ron Paul's signature don't sell that much...

i bought one of these last year for like $500 because the seller promised to donate all profits to the Tea Party money bomb

usually when people do that, I'd just show them my donation receipt and ask them to send it to me for the "difference" or "cost"
