Is there any way we could get Herman Cain to stick up for Dr. Paul?

Not an endorsement or anything, but just something like "I don't agree with Ron Paul on some things, but in the brief time I've interacted with him, I've been given no reason to believe he has a racist bone in his body, and I take him at his word that he didn't write the newsletters."

No, they are pretty different on things like the Fed, and Cain supported TARP. Their supporters are more alike than the candidates, in some ways.

It would be nice, but it isn't going to happen.

Just because Ron stuck up for Cain, doesn't mean Cain will return the favor.

What about in exchange for a spot in a Paul admin?

That's illegal...and why would you want Cain in the administration? Just to help Paul out in this smear campaign that will only fail in the end? This topic is rubbing me the wrong way.

Because this is the tipping point. Don't lie to yourself; this is a big deal, and it has the potential to undo us.

He's the last person who would endorse Paul. Is this a "i have black friends" argument? It would look like a thinly veiled attempt

Unlikely. This is why Ron Paul's supporters shouldn't have heckled him. Well, to be fair, he wouldn't have likely defended Ron Paul anyway and he is also probably more concerned with divorce issues with his family.

This would be pandering and kissing the ring of the PC police. Also, Ron doesn't exchange access or positions for favors. And think of the potential for damage - Cain says No but then leaks to the media that Paul came and asked for help in return for a position... such a monumental misstep WOULD be the end of the campaign.

Luckily, wiser heads are directing the campaign.

Herman Cain wouldn't do it and if he did it wouldn't help. If you want black leaders vouching for Ron Paul....

Herman Cain is not the right man at the right time to be speaking in Dr. Paul's defense. Herman Cain is seriously damage goods...right or wrong. The "racist newsletters" seems like a desperate move by The Establishment to stop the one who threatens the status quo.

Someone mentioned earlier that it always looks bad to say "See I have black friends too." That's right. I've experienced it. All he has to do is keep saying the same thing over and over until these biased reporters run out of time for the interview.

This does not have the potential to do anything. Herman Cain speaking for Dr. Paul is a horrible idea. Why on earth would you want THAT man to say anything in regards to Dr. Paul. Did you forget what just happened with Cain?

There was a recent Cain article saying that the only 2 candidates he would never endorse are Paul and Perry. Cain has absolutely no reason to stick up for Paul on racism

You guys underestimate the power of the media. Look what they did to Pat Buchanan.

The millions who watch and follow them blindly have a vote that counts just as much as ours. And yes, there are MILLIONS of registered voters who watch these programs.

Cain supporting Ron Paul now would only hurt Ron Paul, he did after all get run out of the race for his womanizing.
