Is The Food We Eat Killing Us?

Sugar suppresses your immune system. It is in nearly everything these days. Either actually sugar or HFCS. When your immune system isn't running at its best you get sick more often. The more often you are sick the more often you will go to the doctor and get medicine.
They put sugar in it because of the boost in energy, albeit brief.:rolleyes:
 
This article is accurate. I said the same thing about high fructose corn syrup in bread when I started watching my diet a few years ago.
 
What possible reason could they have for putting sugar in a multivitamin? In chewable vitamins for kids, okay--there's a reason.

Hell they put aspartame in chewable children's vitamins. :mad:

Old news to some, but new news to others. Awareness is key--whether it is old or new.
 
Unfortunately, most Americans are content to chow down on foods that are quick to make and that taste good.

There is really nothing wrong with that as long as it is food that is natural. Also it is not just diet that is important for health, activity is too. You can eat nothing but nuts, grapes, seeds and lettuce and you can still be fat and unhealthy if you don't ever exercise. While on the other hand you can eat at McDonald's everyday and exercise and be lean and fit.

Vitamin and mineral deficiencies cause a great deal of obesity. I have known people who got blood tests and realized they were deficient in many vitamins and minerals and replenished their system and there body regulated to the optimal weight for them.

You could also eat more fruit and vegetable and accomplish the same thing.

But this article is really mostly infotainment, high in scare talk and low in facts and practical advice. It's like the "news" you get on television: "Be afraid!!!! Details at eleven!" Is there really anyone who DOESN'T know that the Standard American Diet (SAD) sucks? I can't imagine how. So is awareness REALLY the issue? Or is practical advice what is needed? The bottom line is that you can get MUCH better, practical, calm, and useful advice from numerous other sources.

I sometimes wish infowars didn't take the fear bent. It would be much better to promote the message of: don't take this shit anymore, fight back, stop buying, stop paying taxes, revolt. Much more would get accomplished this way, we would be much farther along. Can you imagine if 1 million people just refused to pay their taxes? The IRS would be powerless to do anything about it they are so broke, 10 million would be even more powerful. The people still hold the power in their hands but have been castrated with fear...
