Is the firearm buying rush over?

So has everyone got a TP9.

;)

Not practical but not all guns need be practical. Then again when the zombies come that thing becomes your best friend!

Ammo is my biggest worry right now. It has doubled in the past few years, and shows no sign of slowing. This ammo grab is just making it worse. 22LR is even scarce around here. Our local Wal-Mart has been out of the 550 rd bricks since before Christmas. I guess I need to start reloading more and buy up all the 22 when I can...

Danny

More than doubled. Try quadrupled or quintupled.

I went into my local gun shop a couple days ago, they have an extremely large selection of rifles, pistols, shotguns, they even have a working Brass Napoleon howitzer lol. When I was there early last year they had about two full walls of AR's which is what I was interested in buying. When I was there two days ago they had 2 M&P-15's, 2 RRA's, and I believe one Les Baer. Which means they went from a wall stock of probably 50 to 5.

In fact this was MLK day and I dont think I had ever seen the place so busy in the middle of a monday afternoon.

Well that is interesting.

Yeah - prices have about doubled. I expect we will see shops restocking, prices falling and then the Dems will get around to their gun control agenda again and we will see buying frenzy II - just like the Wall Street roller coaster reacting to other Congressional brain farts. Obama seems to very effectively be stimulating this one aspect of the economy and arming a hell of a lot of Americans!

We should all send him thank you letters! :D

Does anyone know what has happened to pricing for guns other than AR's, AK's, FAL's, etc. - the new "list" of "assault weapons"(sic) is incredibly expansive - banning about 95% of what you would see at a firing range. I have a feeling that the buying frenzy hasn't been on these other firearms that are in threat of being banned and that prices have probably stayed stable for them. Might be a good time to look over that list and think about picking up some of the more "sports looking" ones.

Anyone know about pricing and availability of these?

Price's started to go up, ammo and other gun gear has also started to become hard to come by. Mr O has created fear and panic in an industry that is older then out Nation. Its wrong that all of the talk has done this to the firearm industry. If this industry goes lot will follow. Think about raw metals for just ammo.

On the flip side we must be helping out the raw metal industry quite a bit lately. :D

all high cap, carbine, pistol grip stuff is crazy.

I think it might die down somewhat, since I don't think this will be Obama's first priority.

Selection of firearms is much less since before Christmas and ammo inventory is down. Local shop owner says, sales have gone up in anticipation of our new president. Walmart has no inventory of ammo. I just buy a couple of boxes everytime I see some available - I noticed it's getting more expensive though.

This is what pisses me out about the gun movement........My God they will take the time and energy to find and buy guns and ammo....but fuck it if they will take the time and money pass progun laws.

....or maybe this is where me are right now.....in retreat
