Is South Park Republican or Democrat?

Interesting article... thanks for posting.

"A Haiku is just like a normal American poem except that it doesn't rhyme and it's totally stupid." Trey Parker

Neither really. It's pretty awesome how they can take anything and make fun of it. TBH if they made a show about Ron Paul and all of us, I'd laugh my ass off.

Reading the article. I hope they make an episode after the Afghani thing.

Matt Stone & Trey Parker Are Not Your Political Allies (No Matter What You Believe)

I love how they indoctrinate the crow and tell them who they have to trust. Who the hell this HuffPost peole think they are? Like if they are holly or not biased...

But if you get past the title the article is good.

Out of those 2 choices they are more Democrat than Republican.
They aren't either though, really libertarian.
Of course they don't affliate with any political party or religion.
They make fun of everyone equally.

kenny is for legalized marijuana;) i sent them an idea that is reality in colorado! would be funny if they covered it, i would laugh my ass off if they had kenny and the gang and token with Ron Paul 2012 signs!!!

south park > family guy

i don't care what anyone says

I love a good show tune, but Les Claypool wins.
Family Guy is just irreverent humor - which I love - but SP occasionally makes me think.

Anyone who hasn't seen the SP episode on airlines really ought to watch it. I think it's my favorite episode, because it really does embody a lot of what we believe. And it encapsulates the whole problem we're up against, too.

South Park is awesome! I've seen every episode. They are definitely libertarian. I wish they would put Ron Paul in an episode.

They could have an episode where the kids like Ron Paul, but are then ridiculed because there are "no black people in the Ron Paul movement." They could spend the whole episode trying to bully Token into becoming a supporter. Then, at the end, Ron Paul could show up and teach them all that the movement isn't about bullying people into believing what you believe... it's about people having the right to believe whatever they want. Even if it's bankrupting our country.

I read an interview years ago with Parker and Stone where they were asked about political beliefs. They replied (and I paraphrase), "We can't stand the Republicans, but we fucking HATE the Democrats."

South Park doesn't take a side. They make fun of everyone's stupidity.

One of the best shows on TV IMO.

Trey Parker is a libertarian for sure but afaik Matt Stone has never really associated himself with a particular ideology, just been opposed to various ones:

"I hate conservatives, but I really (expletive) hate liberals."
- Matt Stone
