Is RP in South Carolina?

He was, but he went back to Texas. He's going back to SC on Sunday.

Saturday, I think, not Sunday. I think he's going to the forum Huck is having Saturday.

I have to admit that I'm a little confused/concerned about not being in these states following previous strong showings, mainly because now that the media can't distort the truth quite as bad as it used to with the rising popularity, that it gives them a chance to write articles that make it look like he doesn't care or can't manage it. I suspect that he might be recharging/regrouping before debates and a very tedious schedule to get people right before the votes are cast to remain fresh in their minds but I'm not sure. Or maybe he's organizing something in Texas while he's there?

Initially I got the feeling that maybe he was going to treat SC a lot like Florida, due to it not being open to independents, but given our recent surge I really think he should get down there and fan the fire...

He needs to keep his ass in SC. I've read way too many articles online talking about him taking breaks and staying in Texas while everybody else is campaigning hardcore in SC.

I'm really starting to wonder if he is serious about winning. Is he just in this to pave the way for Rand in 2016? If that is so, I'm fine with that but stop emailing me 3 times a day asking for donations. I will donate when I feel he is actually serious and in it to win.

Yes, he's serious about winning. You need to watch your tone. You sound like an asshole.

Seems to me that they obviously see the upcoming caucus states as a higher priority and are looking at any momentum in SC/FL as a bonus.

Hey now. I've read too many criticisms of him not being in SC and it's frustrating to read so much negativity. He's already in the media's crosshairs and they are on the attack; being absent just gives them more ammo.

Many media outlets are questioning how serious he is because of this. It was making me wonder how serious he is too, we know 2008 wasn't a presidential campaign as much as a message campaign. I want to make sure 2012 isn't a message campaign as my hopes are a lot higher this time around.

The slimedia will always find something to criticize Ron Paul about. If they can't find something, they will invent something. So don't stress about it. Just one of those inevitable things.

Ron will be in South Carolina all week. Since the SC primary is on a Saturday (and with being there last Wednesday after New Hampshire), he will have spent more time in SC leading up to the primary than NH. He had a big rally last Wednesday, he has done national interviews since, he had a big endorsement rally today, he will be in two debates, a forum at the University of South Carolina (Newt will also be there, none of the other candidates are confirmed yet). He has plenty of town halls, rallies, and interviews set up. I think that is a lot of things in South Carolina. Remember, they are competing a lot harder than they thought they would before the NH primary...so it took a few days to change plans. They got 5 more days.....they will make huge dividends here. I expect Ron to have great debate performances, and this time with them a few days further out from the primary than it was in New Hampshire, the campaign will have more time to build off of it.

Second this. 30 yrs. of the message from this man standing virtually alone at all times and you wonder if he's in it to win? Call me when you're 76 years old and putting in the hours he is, the man is a machine, greased with Liberty! And if we all had your attitude, that machine would be grinding to a halt. I'm gonna give you a pass on this one and hope that when you click donate in the near future you say out loud, "I'm sorry Ron. Sorry that I ever doubted you!"
