Is Ron Paul a bad candidate for the poor?

The dollar crash is killing the poor and the middle class.... If he can stabilize the dollar, the poor will benefit greatly. Their cost of living is going up and the poor really have no money to spare. How do I know? I fit in that income bracket...

No.

And personally, I think the Fair Tax supporters would be the worst for the poor. But I could be wrong on that...

No. Why would he be?

He will be smeared by the supporters of the socialistic welfare state (I guess that pretty much covers them all), who need peeps to think that if there weren't any federal handout programs that the sainted pooooooooooor would be camping in Hoovervilles in every American city.

Every penny the government spends beyond its means inflates the cost of food, housing and energy. The super-rich are getting super-richer. The middle class is being forced into poverty. The poor are being forced out of their homes. Ron Paul's fiscal policies are the only hope for the poor.

The best candidate for poor and fixed incomes

Yes, they really do not end up paying income tax, they pay the inflation tax, potato chips from 1.25 to 3.00 a bag, Milk 2.00 to 4.00, gas 2.00 to 3.00, etc just steals back the money given to them. One time in out history we went almost a century with virtually no inflation, the best protection for the poor and everyone else. Politicians love this tax because the FEDS claim its virtually nonexistent with bogus accounting. I have lost half my buying power since Bush took office which means my income would have had to double to keep even. The poors incomes or fixed payments certainly have not doubled.

Yet, we should ask these socialist to show how their socialist programs improve people's income? Ask them to show us the result of people gaining ecomonically in society because of their programs... they can't because the number of people dependent on these programs grow ever year.
Are more people in need a socialist services each year...or does socialism cure poverty? If so, why do our entitlement programs keep growing... the number of poor keep growing. Socialism is slavery to the state and that is not what this great nation was founded on!

man I feel a stump speech brewing...

He's definitely the best candidate for the poor, because among income groups, the poor spend the highest percentage of their income on necessities, so inflation (and sales taxes like the "fair" tax) hit them much harder.

The way our dollar is being devalued, our inflation will steadily increase...
which means that price of everyday necessary goods will steadily increase with it...
meaning poor will have to spend more money on things they need. which obviously will be bad for the poor. In fact, this trend will actually decrease the number of middle class and increase the number of poor.

RP wants to stablilize the dollar and cut the biggest spending hog (the war).

Ron has said although he is opposed to welfare, he is willing to keep our social welfare policies in place and help "wean" the poor from being dependent, if he can save the money from the trillion+ we spend overseas.

I wouldn't want to be poor in a country with a collapsing currency, hordes of illegal immigrants, or little economic growth. Ron Paul is GREAT for the poor - the working poor that is. For the lazy poor he is bad. I couldn't give a flying f*#k about them though.

what is with these stupid questions? he's the best candidate for the poor. Libertarians are the best for everyone, once you get through the socialist propaganda. The only bad thing about the Libertarian platform is that it doesn't look good at face value, because Americans are used to socialism, so true freedom scares them. It's easy to speak about freedom, entirely different thing to live in a free society.

Ron Paul is a libertarian Republican.

Preach on, br'er torchbearer!!!

Make THEM justify THEIR position based upon results, rather than intentions!!!!

He wants to abolish the Federal Reserve, bring the dollar back to propserity, kill the national debt. Cut regulation, open up trade.. Prices will go down. Purchasing power will go up. The poor should be APPLAUDING Ron. However, the social parasitic poor, those that rely on social security from day 1 and die on social security. THey have obvious reasons to hate.

Many here are pointing out things that while true, most will simply ignore because they don't understand.

Those working poor, the people bringing in little more minimum wage... they still pay income tax like everyone else. They pay the lowest bracket, sure, but they pay it none the less. Don't you think they'd want an extra 15% each paycheck? The rich already cheat their way out of paying taxes, so any repeal of the income tax would only help the non-rich.

the ones that really don't want paul in are the ones on Welfare, wic, food stamps, etc.....

The people that do not pay taxes because they do not work. Us poor people that pay nearly 6 months into taxes and get nothing out of it LOVE RON PAUL
