Is piercing a baby's ears "abuse"/violation of NAP?

Health, aesthetics, tradition, and I just don't see much merit to the opposing arguments.
All I give a shit about. Personally, I was circumcised when I was an infant and couldn't be happier that it was done, and when it was done. But I don't want to get too into that haha, when it comes to policy, I think there are much more pressing issues. Nothing to see here.

Jeez ... without being too graphic, if that's what it was like for the guys with only 30% of their nerve endings, I guess they would overload and die with all 100% of them.

Most guys wouldn't even last the 30 seconds they currently last.

Circumcise your kids! If you don't it will ruin Melissa's sex life :p

uhhh....circumcising a female removes her clitoris which removes her ability to have an orgasm. Circumcising a male does NOT remove his ability to have an orgasm.

I've heard that women can have at least two types of orgasms, clitoral and vaginal.

So I think they can still have orgasms, but it would be harder to give them to yourself since you can't just rub the button.

That said there is obviously absolutely no reason to give women circumcisions, and for me, the jury is still out on males. Like Melissa said, if I'm having sex right now with only 30% of my nerve endings, I don't know if I could handle 100%..

Not to mention epidermoid cysts, recurrent urinary and vaginal infections, chronic pain, and obstetrical complications.

Eh. Not all women can achieve vaginal orgasm. I think the number was something like 25% of women, but don't quote me on that.

What about cervical orgasm. I'm pretty sure that exists, right dannno?

My father was cut but thankfully I was spared the procedure.

To the few people saying they couldn't handle being at 100%, -whether you were joking or serious- it's not overwhelming and doesn't affect how long you last.

Health is irrelevant as well, unless you just never shower.

I have a friend who's father just went through with the procedure, and said that sex is just not the same anymore. He said that all aspects of sensation are very diminished.

I also don't see the difference between the male and female procedure. It's all genital mutilation. It's an assault on your child.

Ya I'm not sure if cervical stimulation is what helps create the vaginal orgasm, or if it creates a deeper vaginal orgasm or an entirely new one altogether.

It's possible that normal sex leads most women to having a clitoral orgasm, the "g-spot" orgasm essentially being the same thing (since it is apparently from a similar location, in the front and two inches up, approx. the location of the clitoris internally) and maybe a true vaginal orgasm can only be achieved with proper stimulation of the vagina, deep into the area of the cervix.

Or maybe cervical stimulation along with stimulation of the g-spot creates a deeper orgasm for many women.

Who knows, women don't even know what is going on with their own body most of the time.

Well for me, at "30%", it is overwhelming and if it felt better I wouldn't last as long.. so to say it is "that much better" without circumcision, but that you don't cum earlier, is like a magic trick

What if I go on a long backpacking trip and go a week or so without showering?

I'm not sold that it is all that bad not to have it done, I'm just not convinced that having it done is the end of the world either.

The problem is that getting it done as an infant may be a bit different than getting it done later on in life.

I imagine eduardo sitting at home a couple hours ago thinking, "how can i get another circumcision debate started? oh, i know!"

Haha, it wasn't 100% my intention with this thread. But I did want to see anti-circ people argue the same points against infant ear piercing.

I can't really understand what's different as I've only experienced one side of this, but discussing this with people on both sides, endurance seems to be about the same. I do hear more detailed explanations of sensation from those who are uncut.

On your second point. Lack of hygiene rarely causes infections, just don't expect it to smell nice down there.

Your third point I can't argue with, the degree of healing between an infant and someone in their 50's could cause two very different results.

I just don't believe in it and won't have it done to any of my children.

I got my ears pierced when I was 19. Not going to force that on my kids either, though piercings are less invasive.
