He's 44. He looks like a kid. Should presidents in this day and age be older and more experienced?

This is a question that will be asked more and more as Marco Rubio remains the favorite of the betting markets and the political cognoscenti who believe he will eventually emerge as the Republican nominee to take on Hillary Clinton.

In truth, he’s not all that young by modern standards. Ted Cruz is also 44, for example. President Obama was 47 when he won. But Rubio has a more youthful look than either of them, and perception is reality.

It's not only his face, but also his voice. I feel like I am being lectured by a teenager. Of course, it doesn't help that while he is a fast speaker, he also uses simplistic appeals.

I don't know if 44 is always too young, but it is in Rubio's case. The guy has so little real world experience. He went basically straight from college to the state legislature, stayed there for a decade, then was in the senate for like 3 years before he stopped showing up to work. What a pathetic resume. If you're gonna try to be president at the young age of 44 you better have some type of strong leadership experience.

On another note, when will we ever see a president with a beard? I'd vote for them. If Vermin is on the ballot in my state he's got my vote locked.
