Although I am partly glad that McMahon lost, I must say that I think that it may partly be bad. If she decides to run again, she might end up running for the same senate seat as Schiff again.

I highly doubt she runs again. Her favorables weren't very favorable even after spending $50 million. The people of CT just didn't like her.

I like how she lost. I highly doubt that Linda will run again in 2012, clearing the way for Schiff to potentially get the Republican nomination (he may have to battle against Simmons again though). Meanwhile, Blumenthal will be out of the way, so Schiff may be able to fight against a weaker Democratic challenger, Rep. Chris Murphy from CT-5, in a 3-way race including Lieberman as an Independent.
