Is Keith Olbermann one of us?

Actually he has mentioned Ron Paul. It was in the context of trashing John McCain for his Hitler attack during one of the recent debates. For that, Olbermann awarded McCain the 2nd 'worst person' award for the month of November. The winner was Bill O'Reilly.
 
I once had temporary respect for Olbermann after watching one of his special comments on Bush and Iraq. But when that commentator says things like "So, who among us will stop this war?" or rails on the Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act and doesn't EVER mention Ron Paul (save for when he must if he wants to attack McCain), he is nothing more than a PARTISAN HACK.
 
Rachel Maddow has mentioned Ron Paul several times on Olbermann's show, but he never responds to what she has to say. He talks a good game, but he's partisan.
 
Olbermann is great at bashing Bush and Bill O'reilly. Not much else.

He rails on republicans only to bolster the amount of democrat support.

I like Olbermann. He doesn't flat out lie like Bill O'. Im a liberal. I was made to think I was a leftest, but I'm closer to a libertarian. Truth is, I don't know what I am, and I am sick of the labels. I believe a true patriot follows the constitution to the T. That is how our country was designed, and thats what makes it great.

Take the 2nd amendment for example. I hate guns, flat out hate them, want nothing to do with them. Why should I want gun laws to take your rights away? Criminals dont care about laws.

I hate guns, but I live in America, and just because I don't like guns, does not give me the right to take them away from you regardless of my argument. It STOPS at the constitution.

I think Olbermann could take that stance. Its a stretch, but maybe he hasnt heard the message yet.
 
If RP was a democrat, Olbermann would sing his praises daily. It's all about ratings, though. He is supposed to be the anti-Bill O'Reilly, the democratic BillO, so if he started talking about a Republican, the world may explode. The sheep wouldn't understand.
 
Nobody in the media is one of us. They all work for the Bullies. As a person they may be one of us but, not at their job.

Nope he wouldn't. Ron wants to get rid of the federal reserve. The Democrats are controlled by international bankers and corporations as well.

Ron is just a guy telling the truth, which doesn't fit either party.
 
Olbermann is a hack partisan, but he's an INTELLIGENT partisan, "the smartest man in the room" whose screeds are unforgettably articulate and hilarious. O'Reilly's soapbox commentaries by contrast sound like bland canting groanings spewed by a dullard. After the Democrats took over Congress Olbermann said he was giving them 'six months' to turn things around or else they would get the same treatment as Bush. Then he didn't deliver---a shameful testament to his limitations, yes, but his anti-Bush barn-burners remain delightful.
 
Olbermann is a social(ist) democrat. He's basically in Hillary Clintons corner. I should say very anti-us.
 
I had an email exchange with Keith. Trust me he is no Ron Paul supporter.

He agrees with him on some issues, such as the war, but he was very clear that he would never support a candidate who was not pro-choice thru and thru.

He also seems very concerned that Ron Paul would let poor people starve.
 
I enjoy watching him rip into the Bush administration. But, I think he's too caught up in partisanship. Fairness and sincereity is in extremely short supply in this country, while bombastic opinion-making is as common as clouds.
 
O'Bermann's laying into the Bush administration in mimicry of Murrow would be credible if he were a reporter of note. He's not. He's a sportscaster who likes to sit around with friends and snicker at people he doesn't like.

His credibility would not in the least be increased if he said something positive about Ron Paul. Not that I think that'll ever happen.
 
I don't have a problem with Keith. He certainly isn't hurting Ron Paul. That's more than you can say about most TV personailties. He is a smart guy with a target audience on a big TV network. You know exactly what to expect from him. He will beat on the Bush regime, people who think like O'Reilly and Limbaugh, and what he feels are infractions against US citizens.

As a RP supporter, I have to say that Keith is a good guy. I don't not think it is wise to go out of your way to make enemies. Freedom and liberty are never going to mean that everyone thinks alike and agrees with each other.

No matter what you think about Olbermann - it certainly
would be good promotion for Ron Paul to be on his show.

And as far as I'm concerned, Olbermann is civil to his
guests -aka- treating guests like guests.

I wrote to MSNBC asking them to invite Ron Paul,
what about you? Whining or "let's do it!" ? :
