Yes. It was clear from the start of the debate that they want Rubio gone now to make way for Kasich and Cruz. Kasich is the ideal, but they won't beat up on Cruz right now either because they need both of them for now to beat Trump.

Kasich had us at war with Iraq, Syria, Libya, Russia, and N. Korea over the course of a single debate. All of that I'm sure with out the constitutional consent of the people through their elected representatives in the Congress. That should be an immediate disqualifier for any sane voter.

They have to keep this game of musical chairs going in order to take advantage of the average voters' short-term memory issues, but I don't think it will work. Kasich has all the personality of a wet carrot and he will probably struggle to be much of a factor outside of Ohio and maybe some of the blue states, electorally Kasich's path to the nomination is even less tenable than Rubio's, but Rubio is basically a dud, he literally comes off as a petulant child whenever he tries going on the attack.
