Let's face facts... nuclear technology is only going to get cheaper and more desirable and more well known over time. Any strategy based on denying knowledge is destined to fail.

Nuclear weapons have existed now for nearly 70 years and no one has used one since Nagasaki. As the penalty for using one is likely to suffer nuclear annihilation oneself, nobody is going to use them outside of a last-ditch self-defense scenario.

Iran probably wouldn't even want one without the threat of US military domination hanging over them since the 1950s.

If you know anything about the Spanish Civil War you'll know it was anarchists and communists who committed the vast majority of atrocities. I'm not a neo-Francoist, but in a choice of the lesser of two evils between Spain having fallen to communism or to a Catholic semi-theocracy, I'd choose Franco any day.

They want to research nuclear power in regards to energy more than anything I belevie. That's what I hear them talking about most about. Of course with this comes nuclear weaponry but thats to be expected and completely fine as everyone else who can (or that America allows to) does it. But really they want the cheapest form of energy as nuclear powerplants can revolutionize a country such as Iran. Ron talks about nuclear enery in Liberty Defined saying something like it would take windmills covering the area of the whole state of connecticut to get the same amount of power as a nuclear powerplant and that America needs to turn to that resource so Iran is probably thinking the same thing.

I don`t believe Israel is right all the time. I believe though they have every right to defend themselves against Iran which is waging a proxy war against them using Hezbolah. Ron Paul supports Israel in acting as sovereign country, same as he supported Israel when they`ve attacked Iraqi atomic facilities(he was among very few to do it).
At the moment Obama administration is trying to stop Israel from attacking Iran because Obama fears Israel attacking Iran will skyrocket oil price to 200$/barrel and plunge world into a big economic correction and as result he`ll lose the elections.
Ron Paul would have no problem with letting them act as sovereign state and not as US puppet. It`s as simple as that.
