Is glen beck *really* coming around?

I dunno, weird things are afoot.. Fox business has been giving RP a fair shake lately too..

Glenn has been getting out some good info though, Fox has a broader viewer base- if he continued as he has been lately it could potentially be a good thing..

I'm still very weary though..

FOX is a business. They know the republicans are going to lose this election.

It is over, they won. Conservative is defined by John McCain now. FOX is just rubbing it in.

Even Hamilton took Jefferson's side in the 1800 election, based almost solely on his hate of Burr. ;)

Fox and Glenn have the same goals: prevent RP supporters and their ilk from grabbing a hold of too many disenchanted neo-cons. The most important agenda for neocons is the WAR EMPIRE agenda, so they're playing off the economy so they don't lose everyone. For the same reason, it has become more popular lately to play off of "liberties" and also to twist noninterventionism into flag-wrapping "country first" USA chants.

It's similar to how it came to be that "states rights" is now synonymous with racism. If you equate every pro-liberty argument to some anti-liberty one, you essentially muzzle people by setting words as land mines.

::> Glenn Beck is a warmonger. He's just more hip so he realized how to play it before Fox did.

i like Glenn Beck, and generally agree with him, but sometimes I get the feeling he's just in it for ratings. He loves the doom and gloomers because they're bound to tune in when someone talks about how fucked we all are. I'm not too sure what he really thinks. And the fact that he's going to Fox News...ugh...I dunno anymore.

Glenn Beck is a Mormon right??

check this out:

The U.S. Constitution and Mormonism

Brigham Young stated that only Mormons can save the Constitution,
did they Miss the Boat?

Brigham Young stated that only Mormon can save the Constitution, they Missed the Boat

"How long will it be before the words of the prophet Joseph will be fulfilled? He said if the Constitution of the United States were saved at all it must be done by this people." (Discourses of Brigham Young, p. 360)

Brigham Young promised that Mormons will do it

"When the Constitution of the United States hangs, at it were, upon a single thread, they will have to call for the "Mormon" Elders to save it from utter destruction; and they will step forth and do it." (Discourses of Brigham Young, p. 361)

Brigham Young envisioned globalization:

"I expect to see the day when the Elders of Israel will protect and sustain civil and religious liberty and every Constitutional right bequeathed to us by our fathers, and spread these rights abroad in connetion with the Gospel for the salvation of all nations. I shall see this whether I live or die. (Discourses of Brigham Young p. 361)

I'm NOT but I know some... Mitt Romney :D

Okay here's the deal, The Morons must maintain 7 months food rations and enough arms and ammo to take on the Third Reich!

Funny how I just had this conversation with friends last night and was informed about the clean cut white shirters. Who'd a known?

I never knew the MORMONS are so prepared for the devestation coming down the financial/government demolition road.

Glenn Beck seems full of himself. Maybe the TV got to him. I've always liked him and Lou Dobbs more than most the people on the News other than maybe local news.

I don't but the last time Mormon missionaries came around I brought up the prophecy (during the primaries) and they confirmed it. We didn't get to talk for very long but if they come around again I aim to continue the discussion.

It doesn't matter if he's sincere as long as he spreading the right messege to millions of viewers.

BTW, why does everything have to be a fucking conspiracy. This thread has the Mormon thing, the R.I.P. thread has the "suspicious" suicide mention. Give it a rest.

Why do so many Ron Paul supporters admire RP for standing up for his convictions but despise others for doing the same thing? Glenn Beck has made it perfectly clear that he strongly agrees with Dr. Paul's concerns about economic policy, but he's also made it perfectly clear that he strongly disagrees with him on other issues such as foriegn policy and the war on drugs. Glenn Beck isn't perfect, but I respect him for having the courage to be forthright with his opinions. Bob Barr has been ostracized in a similar manner because he is also his own man (i.e. refusing to join Ron Paul in some foolish decision to promote the idea that a vote for radical leftists like Nader and McKinney is just as important as supporting the libertarian philosophy). It was an absurd notion and this is one libertarian-minded voter that applauds Bob Barr for having the guts to say "Hell no!".

I admire Ron Paul more than any politician alive, but he isn't flawless and it's immature to think that everyone should bow at his feet.

What does him being a Mormon and holding such beliefs have to do with conspiracy??
