Is China Really Buying Up U.S. Farmland?

Non citizens should not be allowed to own any real estate in the US.

There, problem solved.

ETA - I forgot to mention that includes corps, trusts, shell companies, non profits, charities and NGOs.

Many of the invaders are being funneled through safe houses owned and funded by foreign NGOs and non profits.

In northern Missouri, the chinks own 100,000 acres or more from their purchase of Smithfield.

The REPUBLICANS in the Missouri legislature made it their #1 priority to overturn laws that prevented the foreign ownership of large farms to facilitate the sale of Smithfield to the chi-comms.

Now, the Repulsivecans are all running on divesting in China and barring land sales.

They don't mean it.

It's a lie.

This is just posturing in an election year to pander to Boobus, with his goldfish memory.

Yes they are, and they are in bed with the others who do.
Not even close but go on with your nonsense of anti China/Russia.

Its not China, Russia that spend billions on EGS/DEI programs to have anti white bias ins schools or public funded institutions.
Which this is something that happened long ago.

They both MADE China what it is. And the same idiots who voted for them in the 90's are backing the same political duopoly.

Choosing between the Dems and Reps isn't even voting. They are just brands of the same corporation.

Everybody keeps saying that and on many levels it's true.

But there are advantages to not voting for the Marxists.

Judicial appointments for instance.

yeah, i know. This is why I don't argue with people who are voting Republican.

Yeah, I knew about him. But I also thought I read China had been allowed to buy land next to military bases.

I can at least confirm this is true in one instance overseas. In Kuwait, the Chinese have a small base in view of Arifjan.

You do realize that Ron Paul voted to give China, Most Favored Nation status, right? I didn’t agree with him on this, but I understood his reasoning.

The real acceleration and approval of it all began when Ron wasn't in office. It was Bush's policy, and there were crucial votes in 1991 and 1992 when Ron wasn't in office, then Clinton pegged it to human rights, and in the late 90s when Ron got back, he did vote in 1998 not to stop it. Which isn't really the same thing as voting for it, as it was already 7 years in development. The early Nays in '91 and '92 were about 50/50 or so with Republicans which is really pretty high to go against a sitting Potus. Democrats pushed it over which is really a head scratcher. Then Clinton wiggled with it but let it continue. Ron's objection (post if otherwise) could have been about the human-rights reasons not being valid, or the dissolution of legal contracts, or some other minor point, because in 2000 a more important bill was passed to make the deal permanent which Ron voted against.

The 2000 Bill "To Authorize Extension of Nondiscriminatory Treatment (Normal Trade Relations Treatment) to the People’s Republic of China" saw the party line flip with mostly Democrats now voting against, and Republicans for, although neither party was anywhere near all-in. So, Ron did vote against it in 2000 which shows he is not such an inflexible ideologue as some think.
