Who wrote to who? Are we making any kind of push letting people know what is really going on?

I know this is a small bailout amount compared to TARP, but this is still a bailout!! This is getting terrible now.

I called my rep. and told him it should be 250 billion, and said if he didn't support that, i wouldn't vote for him and hung up.

Wait..i better call again tomorrow and tell him to make it 500 billion.

lol...throw in an extra million for me, ok? ;)

My rep was against the previous bailout of wall st. I know calling about him stopping this is just a waste of time. He'll be one of the few that votes no. I wish the rest of them listened to their constituents...

My representative doesn't care what I say. I called her til I was blue in the face on the bank bailout. She doesn't represent me. She lies to her constituents too. We have no power over her, because she doesn't give a shit what we think. And why should she? Her district keeps re-electing her. Congress will pass it because they don't care. They dont care because not enough of their constituents care.

I'm all for it. Absolutely! If we can pony up $700 billion for the investor class and WallStreet we sure as hell can pony up $15 billion for the car industry.

There is no difference in the AIGs and GM's of the country. They are all a bloated inefficient mess. Atleast the big three as inefficient as they are can still manage to produce something people actually buy. The financial companies can't even create and sell sound mortgages.

Hell I'd like to see our f'in National Park system get a big phat bailout while we're at it.

to quote Schiff "Two wrongs to not make a right".

Just because the US bailed out the banks does not automatically make it right to also bailout the auto industry....the industry needs to fail; we've propped it up before and it doesn't work, and only keeps prices on automobiles high.

I myself am most certainly against this bail-out...I'd probably offer my own "bail-out" program though, if I were a Congressman; removal of regulation on the auto-industry so they can cut costs.

Great idea on Parks Dept. bailout!..

another would be the oil companies, and newspaper companies, playboy magazine, and anyone that needs a new TV....etc..

lets start a chip in!.

81% of a congress with a 19% approval rating got reelected after that really huge bailout where we gave money to banks, of all things. So, I guess it's understandable if these crooks think they now have a mandate to steal.

After all, how are we going to stop them?

Newspapers! Don't forget that the biggest newspapers in the country are bleeding cash. THey need a bailout!

Oops! NM! Guy above me got it!

I should have guessed it wold be obvious to the Ron Paul crowd.

Yah I'm a bit perplexed as to why the CFL hasn't mobilized against this bailout yet. There's supposed to be a vote on the bill at the end of the week! The news keeps repeating the line "...its about half of what the auto industry was initially asking for" trying to soften us up.

Well, I suppose if, after the mugger sticks a pistol in my face, he would make me feel slightly better if he only took half my cash. The only problem is, even fifteen billion is more than all our 'disposable income', especially now that the banksters are through with us...
