I see all over my facebook feed people buying the establishment's pro-war arguments hook line and sinker. My counter posts are completely ignored. No replies, no comments, no likes. It's like I'm talking to a wall.

I point out the similarities to the lead up with Iraq. I point out the questionable data on the chemical weapons. I point out the danger to our troops going to another quagmire. I point out that bombing =/= humanitarianism. I suggest offering asylum to refugees instead of going to war, if we want to be humanitarian. I point out my personal experience as an Army Officer Iraq Veteran. etc ad nauseum! I can't make any headway!

It's like that cartoon...

I don't facebook enough to say for sure; but don't they actually call that function on facebook a "wall"?

The internet has a left-wing bias, and the left seems strongly supportive of this, I think the internet is overrepresenting the pro-war view.

Only 9% polled are for this. 60% are against it.

On another forum I visit which is dominate by far-leftists, the majority of posters are making all sorts of idiotic arguments in favor of intervention, and denying any similarities between Iraq and Syria.

Again, this is the far left; socialists, anarcho-communists*, etc.

* Yes, there was an Anarchist who was arguing in favor of intervention.

Luckily, this time, most of my facebook friends and "friends" are solidly against it. I'm not sure it would be the same if an R was in control, but I'll take what I can get.

Post that cartoon, Jack, on FB so I can share it.

Please tell me what their reaction is if Syria hits back. I wonder if they'll be calling for nukes or something.

Yep, if they hit Israel or one of our ships, it will be "Oh my god, they just attacked us/Israel, this is war!"

I'm pissed off about it but I live in red state republican country and since their team isn't in the white house, most people around me are opposed.

Call them ugly names before beginning your analysis. That seems to always stimulate debate on facebook.

Here is a pick me up.....if China stoped lending us money due to a attack on Syria what would happen to our economy?
