Is anybody willing to defend the porno scans and body gropes?

Boycotting the airlines would not work because the govt would simply declare them "Too big to fail" and we'd still pay for them in taxes.

And inflated grocery/ gas prices when they print more money to do it .

Object to Sexual Assault? Boycott the Airlines!

Did Frankrep really just link pedobear? Really? O_O

box cutters were perfectly legal on 9/11.

In carry on ? I really cannot remember . In the 80's, I was flying overseas and I carried a plastic ( zytel ) dagger that would make it through the metal detector . In the 90's , I think I carried a pocket knife . but cannot remember for sure .

The x-ray machines that scan your luggage?

They don't work.

I got on at least two flights after 9/11 with a Swiss army knife in my luggage. I realized that I had it while I was in line, and since it was my dad's, wasn't willing to give it up. So I stashed it in my carry-on. No issues whatsoever.

These measures won't work either. It's just ridiculous and I won't be a part of it.

The Federal bureau for Total Sexual Assault (TSA) which falls under the administration of the Dingus Harassment Service (DHS) has as a primary mission the demoralization of the American citizenry. If Americans were not demoralized, then they would resist, and we just can't have that now can we?

This is strikingly similar to the best argument I could come up with about why people are jailed for vice-crimes. If the state allowed people who were known to be drug users to have freedom, the populous would catch on that the State's laws against the use were hurting people that could be productive and were perpetuating real crime by shoving the behavior into the black market. The only threat they pose by being free is to the state's legitimacy.

So here, the only justification for these searches, these invasions of persons and property, is that if these people were able to escape the scans and gropes they would show that the prohibitions on fingernail clippers, full sized shampoo, and lighters were meaningless.

The legitimacy of the state must not be questioned, and the state will take any measure against its own people to ensure that the bulk of the population doesn't catch on to its lack thereof.

Just curious.

Anybody?

Usually there is at least one devil's advocate out there.

I'd seriously like to see the argument.

I will defend the TSA because they provide solid evidence for my argument the more people that experience benevolent government the closer we are to liberty. They provide solid evidence for my argument people are willing to reconsider their beliefs when inspired or suffering.

I am not convinced enough people have been groped yet. :D

i feel that the TSA thuggery increases the chances of a Ron Paul presidency. but i still want the TSA to be shut down today.

A local radio show host back in Portland was defending these scanners yesterday, and my dad was telling me about it. I suggested we get his whole family through the scanners and label it "Host's wife, children, and his small penis."

Ya know, although I hate the TSA, it's not something that is annoying enough to make me extremely angry. But when I heard a story about a little 3 year old girl being selected for 'special treatment' and being terrorized through the TSA security process, like Ron, I feel that enough is enough. A 3 year old girl is not going to blow up a plane. I think a metal detector is good enough! It is stories like that that make me really mad! No child should have to be terrorized during the TSA process. Period

Really , what the hell is up with the fingernail clippers ? can someone explain that to me ?
