Why hasn't the campaign tried to tap into this crucial demographic? I've heard that Paul has received more campaign donations from Iraqi veterans and other U.S. veterans than all the other candidates. Why not try to enlist a lot of these veterans to hold rallies? They can hold up signs saying Iraqi War Veterans for Ron Paul. They can go to wherever the other neo-con goofballs are, and wherever CNN is. Think of how much more powerful the crowd behind Anderson Cooper last night would have been had it been several hundred war veterans holding these signs. If there is one thing nearly all Americans love and respect, it is our war veterans and their opinions.

That being said, it would FORCE the MSM to focus more on Paul's campaign. Furthermore, how could they disparage Paul when our WAR VETERANS want him elected???

Ron Paul could save the world from Nuclear Holocaust and the media would never report it. It doesn't line up with their "interests".

Stars and Stripes

Is anyone getting info to the "Stars and Stripes" newspaper that is passed out to about 500,000 oversea troops? I can't find the first post for this, and I know someone sent the editor an email.....and haven't heard anything since.

suggest this to the Campain Suggestion Box thread

Why hasn't the campaign tried to tap into this crucial demographic? ...

Well... that's the $64,000 dollar question...

Where is the Campaign? We were all VERY LUCKY that JAY LENO Initiated the contact and invite to RON PAUL. If ALL of this was just left up to the Campaign Staff/Managers/Advisers... this campaign would probably be over. Luckily, we donors and Grassroots have been exceptional.

It's amazing when you see other Campaign Staffs ADDING personnel at the Management/Adviser/Consultant levels because they are only scoring 15-30% with the voters/polls... Now that's what I call PROACTIVE.

I think the campaign really dropped the ball on this one during the debate prep. Anytime the other guys started to attack him about the war he should have said, "I'm right on this issue and the troops agree with me. That's why I've received more donations from active duty military and veterans than anybody running for president, Republican or Democrat." BOOM! Smackdown! What could the neo-cons possibly have said in response? The troops are wrong? It would have shut them up and let people know that the troops support Dr. Paul, not these flag waving war-mongerers.

I don't think Ron's having trouble getting veterans under his wing. I'm one, and of the specific type you mentioned. I think we know best what tyranny/slavery is like.
