"Early in WW2, when Hitler was still refusing to retaliate in kind for British bombings of German civilian targets, he had the Luftwaffe drop leaflets calling for peace onto British cities.

Churchill had teams of street sweepers on standby to clean them up before anyone saw them, and the public was warned about being found in possession of them.

Even if you think the call for peace was pure deception, people have a right to hear the other side out when deliberating over peace or war.

Why not trust yourself and the people to suss fact from fiction and make informed decisions?

It’s very telling that every time the government wants us to kill and die for it, extreme measures are taken to ensure we never hear the other side’s perspective.

Don’t be afraid, be an adult, and a responsible citizen, hear them out and then decide."

Not to derail my own thread, but the Twitter comment stream is going in an interesting direction.

Still thread related as they are discussing freedom of information.

Early in WW2 Hitler signed a non aggression pact with the Soviet Union.

Joseph Stalin received intelligence from his spy network that said Hitler was going to invade the Soviet Union.

Stalin ignored that intelligence he thought that it was the allies trying to trick him.

The Nazis went on to invade just a couple years later resulting in the deaths of 27 million people in the Soviet Union.

This has been seen as the worst intelligence failure of the 20th century.

Even worse than the nazis thinking their encryption device the enigma was unbreakable.

Historians point to this intelligence failure and say Joseph Stalin thought that Hitler was a rational thinker because he was a rational thinker himself.

Joseph Stalin thought that since he wouldn't fight a war on two fronts because its not rational then neither would Hitler.

So he thought maybe Hitler could go to war with him at a later date but not when his spy network said the attack was coming.

The attack was coming though and it took his country by surprise.

So the lesson from history is that you should never assume that your opponent thinks as you do.

The interview isn't the problem, it's how Tucker interviews these ... people.

Which is why I can't stand Tucker and wish somebody would smack that gay smile off of his face.

How many times has he pandered to Trump, and never asked the hard questions concerning Operation Warp Speed and other topics. It isn't just Trump either, he does that to everyone.

Even Putin accused Tucker right to his face [during his interview] that he was a CIA plant. Whether true or not, kudos to Putin for posing the question.

When Putin says something like that its primarily for his Russian audience.

Thats how they get rid of anyone who poses a threat to the rule of their government.

That's why nobody else but Putin could ever win an election.

They accuse them of being a CIA plant and then their deep state gets rid of them.

Even a broken clock...

I don't like Tucker for my own objective reasons. What I stated is the truth; he never grilled Trump on OWS and other very important topics, and the same goes for others he has "interviewed".

He just wants to ask questions that can make him money.

Stuff that is about current events so the algorithms will show it and questions that will create good soundbites.

If you start talking about a topic thats not popular people will watch something else.

What he is trying to do in the age of modern media is impossible.

Journalism is a dying art because of new technology.

Thats another thing that was in the build back better bill that Biden couldnt pass which wasn't in the Big Beautiful Bill which made them different.

The build back better wanted to fund journalism so that there would be people who might ask questions that aren't just clickbait.
