If people start trading oil and other commodities in Euros (not dollars), as the Iranians are planning to do, it undermines the whole Fed papermoney scam. It would mark the beginning of the end for the U.S. dollar as the world's reserve currency.

This is hugely important. This is why they tried to manufacture the fake Hormuz incident with the speedboats, otherwise known as Gulf of Tomkin 2.0. Saddam once threatened to do the same thing and that is the real reason why we invaded Iraq!

In 2006, Iran began to float this idea. We surged 30k troops to Iraq.

Euros are also fiat money. While these ideas do have merit, I think they are more worried about all those dollars circulating abroad or held by other countries will come back and create a hyperinflation in the United States. If that is worth war to them than they will attack.

They've said that they were going to open it multiple times in the past. I'll wait until I actually see news saying that it has opened, rather than will be opening, before I believe it.

No not good if Iran does this. ALL oil markets are dollar based. If Iran bases it's oil in Eurodollars the American dollar collapses because it is worth very little now. Watch the video I posted!

This has been in the works for a while now. Thast why the trumped up Nuke scare started coming up. Just the same when Iraq dropped the dollar and went to the Euro in 2000.

The OPEC nations buy the debt the US creates to purchase the oil they produce. Only two countries did not or are not dollar based oil. Iraq (Saddam refused) and (Iran). The world currency is oil. If Iran does not base thier oil in US dollars they will flood the market so others will purchase from them and thus OPEC US dollar based markets lose profit and cannot buy our debt. Then our dollar will collapse and foriegners will devest in the USA. Please watch this video it is a must see!!!

I guess this is why McCain and the other neocons need another 100,000 troops. Here comes the war, not against terrorism, not against Al-Qaeda, not against a threatening superpower, no, rather from a foreign thrid-world nation that has had enough of the US Dollar.

As Rush Limbaugh argued (with a guy who probably supports Ron Paul even though he didn't say on the air), "We are in the Middle East to protect American interests there, specifically the free flow of market-priced oil from the region."

And what do we do Limbaugh if OPEC nations choose not to use the US Dollar to buy/sell their oil?? Their goes your "market-priced" the way we know it now, there goes the need for nations to keep as many US Dollars on reserve, and there goes our kids off to war again!!
