Hi.
I think this could be an very important news:

" TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Minister of Economy and Finance Davud Danesh-Ja'fari here Thursday said that Iran will open oil bourse during the Ten-Day-Dawn ceremonies, marking the 29th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. "

It is between 1. and 11, February 2008

In case that it really comes true, in case they will do it at the OPEC-conference in Vienna on 1. February or an other day before "Super Tuesday", I think it could be important to prepare for it.

Call me ignorant but what is a oil bourse?

I hope clicking on the Tehran times doesn't put me on some terrorist watch list :)

hahah, I knew I wasn't stupid and that other wouldn't know either.

It means that there would be more oil and a lot cheaper. I'm sure Bush and Co. and do all they can to make sure gas prices stay high.

This is huge. It means Iran will start accepting the Euro rather than the dollar for oil. I fully expect some type of military action over this. The United States has too protect the worlds currency in regards to oil. If the U.S. fails to protect the dollar in this regard, our currency will no-longer be the worlds currency. You can kiss your dollars goodbye.

This is exactly what Ron Paul meant when he said in the debate " We are headed into a new era"

Iraq and Iran were the only two OPEC countries that wouldn't go along with denominating the sale of oil in US dollars. Iran has been pledging to flood the market with cheap oil to cause the collapse of the dollar.

Many people believe this is the reason we are currently in Iraq, and have been posturing and looking for reasons to invade Iran. In that way we can take control of their oil production and keep them from flooding the market and crashing the dollar as well as keeping oil prices artificially high which is generating windfall profits for US oil interests.

Here is an interesting video regarding this issue, it's long but it lays it all out.

Oh my god...From what I can discern from this, we're going to war VERY soon now...:(

They've said that they were going to open it multiple times in the past. I'll wait until I actually see news saying that it has opened, rather than will be opening, before I believe it.

This is the first logical explanation that I have heard about our aggression towards Iran lately.

They still have to stop taking dollars for their oil, i read in a news:

sorry, its a source in German language, but if it is not true, please tell me.

...and sorry mods,
but i didn't know where to post it.

everytime a country threatens to stop accepting the dollar, we've done something militarily.....oohh boy.

this is the real reason, why iran is being portrayed as " the bad guys" .... just like when Hugo Chavez nationalized Venezuela's oil and used the revenue to pay off their debt to the international bankers ... Saddam Hussein was going to start selling Iraq's oil for euros also , want to become Americas number one enemy ... sell your oil for something other then the dollar and the bankers will come after you with every thing that the have
