I'm going to use my first post to brag about my 130 IQ.
I was tested by a psychologist.

School is the biggest waste of my time.
I love education though, especially history.

1) Being a Baptist minister and playing the guitar.
2) Having a charismatic youthful essence, smiling a lot, and saying the word "change"
3) Openly spewing hatred of Muslims and citing your location on September 11, 2001.
4) Sticking to the Republican Party platform, and calling for another 100 years in Iraq if necessary.
5) Sticking to the Republican Party platform, and saying the word Islamofascist and/or Jihadist.
6) Not being a Republican, and having nice hair.
7) Lucky enough to be the spouse of a previous president.

130 IQ here, but the good news is my son is at least one standard deviation above. I'm homeschooling and believe me, he will be a patriot who knows his constitution and history.

Im around 130-145 depending on what test I take, but like you I am homeschooling a son... in fact 3 sons and I can only hope that this revolution has sparked the seeds of influence that will shape the years to come. It has made me more aware of the importance of critical thinking, morals, and reason over simple grammar and mathematic concepts. If our young ones can not master critical thinking and morality they are at the mercy of whatever hogwash they read or "study" in the future.

When I took an entrance exam to a college in 2002, the president of the college came in after I took part one of the test and said they had never had an entrant score as high on the first part as I had and there was no need for me to take part 2 of the exam

And to those of you with 150+ IQs - all I can say is wow! Because you are somewhere in the range of the top 1/10,000th of the population if not higher!

I'm sure all of us here are all very smart, but I wouldn't trust a standardized test... It's probably fine for finding generally where you are but not any where precise, other than as a comparison. But I'm sure many are "smarter" than their score says or vice verse. I remember reading about twins who, depending on how they were raised, had different IQ scores, and when the "dumber" one went to the other's household (which was "better") then his score shot up. So I'm almost positive the IQ tests are pretty arbitrary.

Would you deny the children of immigrants IQ points? It's not their fault that their parents didn't have the IQ points to know to immigrate legally!

You have to have it tested.

Mine is 150. Not bad for a woman, eh?!

Sadly, 110 and above is only 10% of the population.

We give an IQ test to all of our applicants at our office. We weed out a lot of people before we even get to that stage. So many are unemployable (at least to our standards).

I have refused from day 1 to send my kids to public school --and I am appalled at the 'smoke-up-your-ass' private schools. I have found most of them to be just as bad -they have a lot of PR and spin. Their standards are so low it is appalling.
