Iowa State Convention (6/16) 11 of 12 RP delegates!

Louisiana and Nevada make the five, do they not?

I don't know. There is more uncertainty surrounding Louisiana and Nevada.

In Nevada, we have our people there, but there is the issue of "bound".
In Louisiana, there is the issue of 2 lists of delegates.
It's possible that those uncertainties have been cleared up.

Being bound to Romney doesn't disquality nevada, alaska or any other state. All you need is a plurality of the delegates. The vote for nomination from the floor is separate vote from the nominating the president nominee. That is the only vote according to the state they are required to vote for Romney.

But will there be a special vote on "plurality of delegates"? I have no idea.

Yes they do. Each state takes a nomination from the floor to put there name up to be voted on. That vote is a separate vote. Even Sara Palin or any other candidate could be nominated from the floor. It is not mandatory to vote for Romney.

That sounds good!

Obviously all the negative stuff in this forum hasn't let people who want to really continue the fight let it slow them down. Well done, well done!

just woke up from nap while waiting for results.......EXCELLENT WORK IOWA!!!!!!!!

Great Job Iowa!!

You folks are patriots!!! Thanks.

As an aside, my guess from very far away from the USA is that 150 of our votes more or less were alternates that were moved up to delegates?

Can anyone from Iowa comment?

Alternates are seated because some delegates do not show up. ALTERNATE=DELEGATE

Do not be ashamed of being an alternate. It usually is a delegate later.

And keep in mind, alternates, the next year after elected there are meetings, or conventions for your local party where you need to go to elect central comm. members and local endorsements etc.

EVERY SPOT IN THE PARTY IS WORTHWHILE

Got there about 8:45 this morning. They're using scan delegate tags which slowed things at the door for awhile. Inside I spoke with several Paul people wearing white hats passing out the slate info. They pointed out to me a older guy also wearing a white hat passing out a the "Unity" slate. I went up to him and told him he was intellectually challenged having to attempt to fool people into voting for his slate then I walked away. He came up to me getting into my face and called me an "asshole". I think he was trying to provoke me. Anyway I and a couple of other became his shadow telling people the guy was a cheater. People would take his slate, look at it then drop it on the ground. (Later after the vote to accept the proposed delegates he was leaving he walked by me with his wife and said "Hey cheater you forgot your white hat" and tried to hand him a white hat that I had.)

After the vote to accept the nominated delegates and alternates a lot of people left with frowns upon their faces.
