Iowa Robopoll Report 6/30/2011

What then would be the procedures after you take your data and send it on? You have nailed down an efficient way to get the names you want. You're only getting the contact information from the people who answered yes to Ron Paul, correct?

Stage 1 is robopolling, then the data goes to stage 2. stage 2 includes a Ames pitch. What after that, what happens when the person getting the phone call does indicate that they're interested in attending Ames then? How does that person get pushed into the official campaign system, so that the official campaign can be more organized.

I won't know for sure until I talk to Steve, but I don't think the data on Ron Paul supporters identified by our grassroots funded and conducted robopolls will be usable by the official campaign at all. So the details of stage 2 will be entirely up to the rp2012.org people. I'll leave it to tobefree to answer your question in more detail.

How much of a chip it would it require to get access to the complete results? Also I assume you are keeping the numbers for people who chose other candidates (they will be important as others drop out of the race). And are you repeating numbers that went to voicemail or were otherwise unanswered?

Just a poll. I'll find out from Steve Bierfeldt today whether he can accept the data as my personal campaign donation. If so, then I'll leave the human contact about the straw poll to the campaign. Otherwise, rp2012.org phonebankers will invite the Ron Paul supporters to the straw poll.

Based on what rule or regulation could you not just pass the 1. Name & 2. Phone number of the identified supporter over to the campaign?

Couldn't you just email the campaign the names and numbers?

What if I just got a gop voter registration list from my state, randomly calls individuals, asked them who they support, and then tell the campaign here are a list of names that are Ron Paul supporters...please follow up with them.

Why oh why won't you sign up to make phone calls on behalf of the official campaign? No doubt they've already identified a huge amount of Ron Paul supporters, and are now trying to get them to commit to the Straw Poll. You're behind the curve.

I think he was asking a rhetorical question trying to make sense of campaign finance laws.

Correct.

Yeah, it sounds like a private citizen couldn't identify donors on their own and provide a list of those people to a campaign. Perhaps it is a 'consent' issue such that you don't have consent of the poll participants to provide their contact information to a third-party...but then again, how did you get there number in the first place. I know that my name is on a voter registration log and I get tons of mail and phone calls because I am a registered voter...

Will you please [mod removed per guidelines] Nepolian Shadow and pr08orbust and stop hypng the authoritarian trip?

Please? - we do not need this BS! What you want is not going to happen.
