Iowa Results?? - Paul 32% - Gingrich 21% - Romney 17% - Cain 15% - Perry 7%

qwerty I never said I was against Dec 16th. I just want to see the campaign get money faster. Both are needed.

FWIW... It's not a good idea these days to associate Ron Paul with the Tea Party as he has way outgrown that label. We should use "No One But Paul" as main theme and only mention the original Boston Tea Party in passing.

If necessary, the small print can point out that the modern Tea Party was inspired by Ron Paul but hijacked by the establishment, but without whining about it.

I seriously doubt many people are inspired by the "Tea Party" or even "Take Back the Tea Party" these days... and many potential left-leaning donors will be totally turned off... they won't even take a second look when they see the words "Tea Party".

This is not to be seen as criticism of the creators of the moneybomb and videos. You are doing a fantastic job, and it's not too late to make some adjustments that will make this moneybomb the biggest one so far. "No One But Paul" is an edgy theme similar to "Black This Out", and it actually delivers a powerful message: RP supporters won't vote for anyone other than Paul; Paul is the GOP's only choice to win the general election.

ok. I say donate when you want to, but i also say that promote this event, cause with this event we will raise much more than without this event! :)

I'd also like to see some assurances from the campaign that they are " all in", that every dollar will be used and that they won't set aside a few million to be transferred to C4L if Ron Paul doesn't win.

I agree with this sentiment. We need the media and GOP to realize they can't win without us. And we vote on principle not on party. No One But Paul is a better message imo.

I was thinking about possible ways of "tweaking" future money bombs. Since Dr. Paul is for States' rights, perhaps we could have have a page on the screen breaking down the amount of donors and monies from each State, with a % - per capita ratio to give each State a chance of winning. Everyone likes a little friendly competition and it might add some spice to the mix. Tell me if I'm talking "out of my ass," if this idea has already been canvassed, or if this idea has potential. Perhaps the winning State-runner up-third could receive some sort of a prize...

Please, someone take a look at this proposal for FUTURE campaign contributions. I am seeking a critique.

This is what I want to see on January 3rd, but it seems many of you have taken on the careless attitude that we have already won Iowa.

Reminds me of some great Herb Brooks (the 1980 US Mens Olympic Hockey Coach) quotes:
"You can't be common, the common man goes nowhere; you have to be uncommon."
"Boys, I'm asking you to go to the well again."
"Great moments are born from great opportunities."
"You were born to be a player. You were meant to be here. This moment is yours."

And of course, after winning the game vs. the Soviets, a lot of people forget that they still needed to win another game vs. the Finns to win the Gold Medal. They were down in that game too initially.

During one of the breaks of that game, Herb said:
"If you lose this game you'll take it to your grave...your f*cking grave."

I think we can take a lot of parallels to what we are facing here. Just because Ron is 1st/2nd/3rd/wherever in the polls doesn't mean squat. We know polls don't mean squat. What matters is the caucus result on January 3rd. Make no mistake, if we do not win Iowa, the rest of the caucuses and primaries will not matter.

It's do or die time now. Get yourself out of the way. So what if you didn't get picked for Christmas with Ron Paul or you're too old or you're too lazy or you're too scared? Some people make excuses, other people make results.

We need you. Now more than ever. Don't ever tell yourself that someone else is doing enough, or get comfortable with polls or how many interviews Ron is doing, or how cool the newest ad is. Who. Cares.

We need to talk to people in Iowa. Get your butt down there and canvass/talk to people. You have to do what the average person is not willing to do, because Ron Paul is not an average candidate. If you're immobile, phone from home. And if you're immobile AND mute, then donate and do what you can online, but above all enroll others to go to Iowa or phone from home. Basically the only way you are going to impact Iowans are to talk face-to-face with them (best), or talk with them over the phone (better), or donate to the campaign so they can help get the ground game, air and radiowaves in Iowa going (good). You are not in the stands. You are on the ice. Everything you do has an impact.

If we lose this because we didn't give it our all, we'll take it to our f*cking graves. Does this sound a little bit crazy or obsessed? Well then I would say - I would hope that you find something to be excited, crazy, or obsessed about in your life! Because nothing worthwhile happens in life unless you get excited or passionate about something. And you better be excited about something to be successful at it. Were the founding fathers of America crazy or obsessed with creating the best constitution and country in history? Success doesn't happen by accident.

And if isn't this that will have you play all out, then what is it going to take to get you going? What is it that will have you be truly alive? Because if it isn't this, are you really alive then?

I know you're tired. I know you're broke. I know you procrastinate. You can sleep when you're dead, money doesn't matter if the country is broke and going to h*ll and you're only on this Earth for a limited time anyway. So. What. Ron is in his 70s. Do you think you're getting more sleep than he is? Do you think you're spending more time and money than he is on liberty?

Do you really want to be the one to face your kids or the younger generation of Americans and have them ask you why you didn't do your best to save what was once the United States of America when you could?

I've been posting the link to all my Ron Paul youtube videos. Including one with 77,000 hits. I'm hoping it helps.

nice!

there are lot of supporters on facebook too! please help us there too! :)

Thank you, the time for arguing is past. I cannot get why people are not 150% behind this moneybomb, this is THE moneybomb. Let's kick it in the ass. Did the campaign put out the internet advertising last time? They should be jumping in again.

The actual pledge count I feel will be lower given I've seen folks on this forums not pledge because they can't do $100.

And yeah, the rating thing was misleading, but it makes the point. Join the team and promote the moneybomb!

bump.....if any of you have google Chrome, there is an app for facebook to invite all friends to a facebook event.... some say it doesn't work because they cant see all there friends on the invited list....but it does work because after i did it i started getting the " why would you invite me " bull shit so DO IT UP!!!!!

The term "Tea Party" has been poisoned beyond repair. Here in Georgia it is synonymous with racist-homophobic-fundamentalist, which makes it very difficult to
promote this moneybomb . Having to give a disclaimer before a promotion makes one look weak, like you are apologizing for what you are about to say.

forward them to the site to learn the history of the tea party... :)

This is RON PAUL´S tea party! :)

Money bombs aren't smaller because we don't spam enough advertisements. They're smaller because people are broke, enthusiasm is down due to low polling with little time left, and because we have one every 3 weeks now. In 2008 there were two, maybe 3. We've have that many is as many months. We don't have the "underground energy" we had in 2008. Money needs to be raised in a more traditional manner though money bombs can be effective, their effectiveness diminishes due to everything I've stated.

Guess what ?

I WILL WORK MY ASS OF FOR THIS! YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! PERIOD!

This is not 2008, the campaign knows full well how to spend the money this time, and our issue is getting them enough of it. Check the Q3 burn rate, that's all the assurances you need!

Low polling with little time left? At NO point in 08 was Ron Paul polling as well as he is now. Dominating straw polls did not happen. We never broke the 20% mark, hell we pretty much were happy with 10% and complaining about the polls lying to us. Now we're winning, so post something to facebook, stand on a corner, recruit at least 1 other person to attend, if not pledge.

I'll grant you the chaotic enthusiasm of 08 is not here, we lost alot of people who burned out. People are broke, but if we can top 67k donors and not break rthe $$ figure, that's fine too!
