Iowa Results?? - Paul 32% - Gingrich 21% - Romney 17% - Cain 15% - Perry 7%

We need more than Dec 16th. We need Friday payday bombs. If everyone who has ever donated in the past gave as little as $5 every Friday, it would be amazing.

The campaign also needs to keep a ticker up and constantly visible. Why they keep taking it down is frustrating. Leave it up!

Please, why don´t you respect other peoples work and start a new thread for your own projects but don´t come here to derail this.

I really don´t understand your motivation!

so you can´t even put a banner on your site ? :(

I just put it up.

But the banners need to be redesigned. They are not very compelling and the phrase "moneybomb" is no where to be found. It's boring. Honestly, it is. And it doesn't tell me what it's about unless I read some small text. This would be one reason why the conversion rate is so low.

People are jaded. Get off the forums and go knock on doors. The battle field has changed. We won the Internets - it's time to move on.

This thread isn't about converting new voters. It's about raising money for the campaign. We need the internet to do this effectively.

I wish I could +rep you 1,000 times. I can't for the life of me understand why nobody is getting behind this. People are coasting right now and I keep hearing "we will win Iowa." No we won't! Not unless people start donating time and/or money to get the campaign the funds it needs to win.

I think the issue is the design of the website (specifically, what you see when you first arrive on the site). "Ron Paul" doesn't appear clearly anywhere above the fold - it's bonkers. The scroll background dominates and just makes everything difficult to process/scan (and that's how people "read" online...).

We're breaking a whole host of landing page 'conventions' ... which leads me to believe that while the traffic/visits to teaparty11.com are lower than those to BTO, the conversion rate is 5x worse.

Dude, it's not about projects, it's about making money. His comments are spot on! You pretty much just proved that this has become about someone's pet event and not about funding the campaign :\

The money-bombs had their day. It's time to evolve!

The thing is not everybody knows what a money bomb is. We found this out when we were promoting Black This Out. We take it for granted here, but it's not a well known term outside the forums.

i totally disagree, you know why ? Cause there are huge amount of people who would not donate never as much as they do on big moneybombs.

There´s a reason why Ron Paul campaign supports moneybombs everytime, guess they see so many new donors coming in everytime.

I concur.

Today the campaign brought in 27k in donations. Pitiful. Even a weak money-bomb of 1 million is a huge deal. And with the proper promotion like BTO had this money-bomb could be closer to 2-3 million.

EXACTLY!

It´s a proven fact that we raise much more when there´s a moneybomb and that´s why campaign supports the moneybombs too! They see it first!

Yeah, it's hard enough to get people to donate on one day, but to get them to donate every Friday, I don't know. It just seems like it would be impossible to manage and keep track of. I also doubt people's ability to remember to donate every Friday. That's why we create an event out of these things, to ensure everybody participates at the same time. It rallies everyone around the same goal and it's much easier to manage and keep track of.

This is exactly what I'm talking about.

It doesn't matter how hard we promote....we don't even have the BASICS in place. Go to the website and then compare it to blackthisout.com - it's night and day.

Case in point, does "The Revolution Continues" mean anything to anyone???

IMO, we need a total reboot if we want this thing to work.

1.) What's this Money Bomb's "why"? BTO had a crystal clear "why"... VetDay notsomuch... I think the current messaging/copy on the teaparty11 website and banners doesn't clearly communicate what our raison d'etre is.
  • What does "The Revolution Continues" mean?? To me, it means nothing... it's ambiguous without having any underlying or 'insider-y' message like "Black This Out" did - We need something new... something with a lot more "bite", "gruffness" , "join or get out of way-ness" , etc..
  • Given the response to the Gingrinch "Hypocrite" ad, I think we should quite trying to make nice with the fake tea partier ("RINOS") and turn this into a "Real Change or Revolution" event that:
    • Calls Out the RINOS
    • Challenges the 25% "not-Romney" mass of GOP voters about whether or not that actually want to reduce the debt, shrink the government, tell banksters to go fly a kite and/or end corporate welfare. Because if they do, there's only ONE OPTION.
  • To that end, I think teaparty11.com should adopt the BTO landing page design ASAP and put up a bunch of videos like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLtdFtSAmLw (e.g. Ron Paul = Leader/Consistent/CORRECT vs Newt/Rhinos = Flip-Flopping/Money-Grubbing/Politicians.
    • There are lots of the 'flip flop' type of videos already... but we definitely could use a few more videos demonstrating Ron Paul's consistency AND foresight/wisdom (at least one)

  • The messaging doesn't need to be "angry", but it does need to be "stern".
We need to shift gears and re-position teaparty11 into an "Us vs Them"... where the "them" = a.) fake tea partiers... b.) those who trample on the constitution, declaration of independence and bill of rights. We need a "boogyman"... or at the very least, something to protest against... whatever riles up/offends the grassroots the most.

Because you're 100% right - what we have right now is not just "boring", it's sloppy. Until we address both of those issues, promotionswill be an uphill battle.

I didn't really agree with this be friends with the Tea Partiers theme either. The point of a money bomb is to rile up your existing supporters to donate, not reach out to new voters. We tried that with 11/11/11 and it failed. It didn't energize anyone. I like the take back the Tea Party theme better. You should run this by Dusman. Maybe we can still change things around on the website, add Ron Paul at the top and move the pledge widget above the video. It's not going to happen unless we take it to Dusman though and convince him first.

do we a have URL for the update letter ?

I would love to share it on facebook...

I was thinking about possible ways of "tweaking" future money bombs. Since Dr. Paul is for States' rights, perhaps we could have have a page on the screen breaking down the amount of donors and monies from each State, with a % - per capita ratio to give each State a chance of winning. Everyone likes a little friendly competition and it might add some spice to the mix. Tell me if I'm talking "out of my ass," if this idea has already been canvassed, or if this idea has potential. Perhaps the winning State-runner up-third could receive some sort of a prize...

I have all of my FB groups on alert and in support of Ron Paul. We need to win this for survival!
