Iowa "Oath" Ad Campaign - Chip-In!

Cain is being removed and Gingrich inserted. I asked him what it would look like with Q2 numbers included too.

We have to realize that we're in a 3 way tie against Gingrich AND Romney. So it should be Paul vs. Gingrich vs. Romney vs. All Other GOP Candidates.

Is Romney in there as well?

Yeah I ran a voter survey for a small scale ad campaign....are you serious?
8 Grand is a lot of money to be requesting from strangers on the internet. If you are telling people it's extremely effective I assume you must be basing that on something. If not, then you're misleading the people that are donating to you. I don't think this ad is going to be effective at all. I think it could even offend people that Paul is politicizing the military for personal gain.

Even though I've already addressed your questions I will remove "effective" so you stop trolling this very important thread that has the endorsement of marketing experts, the forum mods and admins, and the majority of rpf.

Trolls are always trying to derail any Iowa efforts, its blatantly obvious now.

bump! Foreigners who can't donate to the PCC CAN donate to this! This is what the ad looks like in print.

I don't totally understand the point of competing with the campaign. Do you think they aren't doing a good job? Also, on what basis do you say the ad is extremely effective? Have a link to the voter survey?

Sorry to be a negative Nancy just calling it as I see it! I think the campaign is doing wonderful and they need the money.

I tend to agree with you. On the other hand, Dusman does good work.

I really don't think we should be in the messaging business. I think the official campaign should be in the messaging business. But not doing this means that the grassroots is down to doing almost nothing. The kind of things that I personally would like the grassroots to be doing aren't being done, no one really thinks they're good ideas, no one really wants to do them, etc etc. I don't think they're going to happen.

I would like there to be some sort of on the ground grassroots activity that will make it a point to get our key demo 18-29 year old men, who often do not vote, to the caucus. On the ground, hand to hand.

Maybe there should be a thread on that? Creative ways to get people to the caucuses.

I've listed House of Bricks, Vaudeville Mews, Peoples, Val Air Ballroom, Wells Fargo Arena as venues for events.

Grassroots in Des Moines should have money.

Just give them a ton of money and say "GET VOTES". We know that the 18-29s like us. We know that they won't vote for anyone else but Ron Paul. But we don't know if they'll go to the caucus at all.

We would benefit from straight up Rock The Vote turnout activity. We won that Polk County High School poll, with 6700 Polk County (Des Moines is in Polk County)
students. http://www.gis.co.polk.ia.us/mock_election/Static_Election_Files/all_electionContests.asp we got 2101 votes in that. Will they all caucus? Have we called them, and IDed them as Ron Paul supporters? Are they on any list that the Ron Paul campaign has? If they aren't on a list, Phone from Home will not be calling them, and we will not be IDing them, and reminding them when the caucus is.

The only reason I'm here is because you spammed me the link to this thread 5 times. I assumed you must have really wanted my input based on how many times you sent me the link, but I guess I was wrong. Does RPF admins and mods endorse sock puppets spamming people requests for money on the same day as the moneybomb? I have a hard time believing that.

I think it's foolish to have any communication with Iowa voters that hasn't been pre-screened. Otherwise you risk unintended consequences. There is a reason that no campaigns are running print ads - they aren't effective. I don't know why you think that you know better than all of the campaign experts competing in Iowa right now.

The ad looks great.... I have yet another concern though.

Have you purchased the rights to the soldier image? RevPac when they had the ad contest specifically disqualified an ad with that image due to the rights issue. If the rights have not been acquired it could set you, and everyone who pays for it up for legal trouble.

Agreed - I know the license has been purchased but not sure on the specifics.
