Iowa GOP Chairman Says RP "Most Likely" Will Be in Debate

The Communications Coordinator in Iowa for Ron Paul John Zambonini (not positive on his last name) said that he spoke with the IOWA GOP and they confirmed it was FOX News that set the Campaign Rules.

But the IOWA GOP still went along with it.

Since when in the HELL do News Organizations interfere this way in Presidential Elections? They already are already 100% Unfair and Unbalanced in their daily coverage. Now, they want to get involved and set the terms for Presidential Debates, too? This is ludicrous.

Since the League of Women Voters were run out of the business. The candidates wanted it that way so that THEY could control the debates. Back in the day, there were fair debates. Did you know that the final debates between the two final candidates are "fully negotiated" in advance. IOW, there are no debates anymore. There are only sound bites and photo opps.

It's their debate and they set the guidelines, if they say 5% it's five percent.

Yep. And the good part is...it doesn't matter any more. If they don't invite Ron Paul then he'll get even more publicity.

The lackeys are afraid now. And that's a good thing. :D

The guidelines say that candidates must be polling at an average of 5% nationally or at 5% or higher in the Des Moines Register and(/or?) ARG Iowa state polls.

Have you guys been following Ron's progress in polls on the national level and in Iowa? He should have no problem getting to that point. He was at 5% in the latest CNN poll (up from 2% in October), 4% in the latest WSJ/NBC poll (up from, again, 2% in October), and has been 5% and 6% in the last two daily releases of the Rasmussen tracking poll. He's clearly moving to the territory nationally that will get him above the cutoff in national polls. Assuming that Fox will be using the RCP average, Ron should be able to hit 5% by the end of November, for sure. (They'll probably invite him, anyways, due to him being at 5% or over in so many of the most recent polls.)

Plus, he's been running at 4% in the last 2 Iowa polls; he was at 4% in the Strategic Vision and Des Moines Register polls last month, and he was at 4% in the latest Zogby poll. The ARG polls tell a different story, but ARG in general does a terrible job. (For instance, them releasing a poll with Ron at 1% in NH on the same day they release a poll with Ron at 4% in SC is just nuts; no way in hell is Ron's support in NH lesser than his is in SC.)

My question is, How does a NATIONAL ELECTION DEBATE that is for the American people get relegated to some false news network(like Faux) that wants to pick who the candidates get to be and totally forgetting the fact that in every other debate Ron Paul was there and even WON there debate POLLS. How can a guy that wins the tv networks own debate polls be suddenly removed from the national debate? That is more than just suspicious and will really give other news outlets to attack Fox for even considering this, given that Ron WON all of there Polls. =)

Not everyone has cable tv btw.

Let's not forget that Ron Leads in overall Straw Poll victories as well. Thus giving him the majority of voters. Sort of like how John kerry had more people voting for him.

How can you leave out the top candidate in straw poll victories out of a debate? It's just utterly ludicrous and doesn't stand to reason whatsoever.

Is Tancredo Polling over 5%? According to this he has been invited.
