Interview with Ron Paul in The Guardian, on Ukraine

I do not believe in or advocate the initiation of force as a means of achieving political or social goals- even if Putin made up a good excuse (aggressors- Bush, Hitler, Putin, Hussein, Stalin- ALWAYS have a good excuse for their action).

Why are my fellow libertarians disagreeing with me on this?

Unless you and others using this rhetoric are anarchists (the vast majority of those I have seen saying this sort of thing on this issue are not), you have zero ground to stand on, as you absolutely do support - and advocate for - the initiation of force as a means of achieving political or social goals.

This entire episode from beltway and other disparate groups of libertarians has been an exercise in strawmanning Ron Paul's position in an effort to:

1. Look tough against Russia and ingratiate themselves to Republicans
2. Support Rand Paul
3. Burnish fraudulent libertarian/anti-state credentials (see the 'I don't advocate the initiation of force as a means...' bit)
