… many Americans face substantial increases in their health insurance premiums. Much of the debate has focused on young men, the “bros” who will bear the brunt of Obamacare’s rate hikes. But in California, women and men will see equally high jumps in the underlying cost of individual-market premiums.

This is because the Golden State already bars insurers from charging different rates on the basis of gender in the individual market.

[...]

… it’s terrible news for those with above-average incomes, along with those who are unmarried or childless.

But in California, if you’re a single woman with a decent-paying job that doesn’t offer health insurance, you’re about to get hammered.

Yep. And when that law went into effect, all they did was raise rates on men so that they would be equal. It's amazing how no matter what laws they put into place, it always results in price increases. It's almost like it was planned that way or something...

while dana loesch is annoying she is sooo gorgeous. Oh yeah, and the new healthcare law sucks.

No need to feel sorry for them that their insurance premiums are about to double....the majority of women deserve to get what they voted for.

A higher percentage of white women voted for Obama than white men.

A higher percentage of black women voted for Obama than black men.

A higher percentage of Hispanic women voted for Obama than Hispanic men.

A higher percentage of Asian women voted for Obama than Asian men.

Oh, and California elected Obama.

Oh, so the California men are getting what they asked for to, or no... ?

Some prices go down........like wages.

Wait! You mean that a staggering increase in government intervention in health is causing prices to go up? Who could have predicted this? Inconceivable!

Reminds me of something...
