Welcome to the Nevada State Headquarters
Ron Paul's presidential campaign for freedom, peace, and prosperity is growing by the day. Our goal is to win, and we know we only have one shot at electing Dr. Paul.
We need to convert all of our excitement and energy into Republican caucus votes for Ron Paul.
Delegate Selection Process
The best way for you to do that is to attend your Republican Party caucus meeting, currently scheduled for January 19, 2008, and run for county party delegate from your precinct or vote for other Ron Paul supporters in your precinct who are running for county party delegate.
This is vitally important for the campaign as there is no Republican primary in Nevada. The caucus is the one and only way to win Nevada for Ron Paul!
Instructions for Caucus Day
Instructions for Caucus Day -- Print out and take it with you to the caucus the day of the caucus. This is vitally important.
If you have any questions at all during the caucus, please call either of our two HQs in Nevada listed on the left-hand side.
Also, contact us find out more about how to become a county party delegate for Ron Paul!
Caucus Vote Monitoring
Caucus Monitoring
We are encouraging all of our supporters to be vigilant and hope you will volunteer to monitor the results of the precinct caucus you participate in.
Here is a convenient form you can print out to record your precinct caucus results. Please print it out and make sure to bring it with you. Complete it and call in the results. Then mail in the hardcopy per the instructions on the bottom of the form.
Poll Watching
The campaign is permitted three official straw ("non-binding presidential preference") poll watchers. I know many people would like to participate at this level, but if more than three attempt to assert themselves as poll watchers at the same caucus site, we will place ourselves at a significant disadvantage relative to other campaigns.
So, if you would like to be a poll watcher either
1) Send your name, precinct number, caucus site location and contact information to (Clark and Nye Counties) [email protected] or (All Other Counties) [email protected]
2) Be cool. If there are more than three of you who show up to watch the poll, just quietly choose three
Please call in your poll watching results to
Clark and Nye Counties: 702-430-1407
All other Counties: 775-331-1570
When you call them in, please leave your name, county, caucus site location, and contact information along with the results.

Urgent Update #3 - Affidavits/Who Can Vote
This varies from county to county. As of the last update from the state central committee insofar as it is comprehensible, affidavits will be made available to all of the counties and precincts. However, the use of those affidavits will be subject to the direction of the County Central Committees and Chairs.
For example, in Nye County, apparently the only people who will be able to sign the affidavits and vote are 17 year olds who will be 18 as of the general election. In two other counties, a person who does not appear on the voter roll will have the opportunity to sign an affidavit stating that they are a registered Republican and participate in the caucus. They will be able to vote on a provisional ballot, but the vote will be held until verified. However, it is as of yet undetermined whether those provisional ballot totals will be reported to the state and, hence, the media.
In Clark County, it appears that it may boil down to how vigilant the caucus chairs are or what the precinct caucuses themselves decide. Some might end up sticking to the original rule, i.e. that only republicans that appear on the voter roll may participate. Others locations may allow all to participate by signing affidavits.
Please bear in mind that it is the provisional totals that could, in many cases, be reported to the state party and, hence, to the media. Provisional totals could include any unverified voter who does not appear on the voter roll who signs the affidavit. Which means we should be vigilant to unscrupulousness. It is possible that busloads of people who are not registered Republican or even from out of state, Republican or not, are allowed into the caucuses or at least into the straw ("unbinding - presidential preference") poll. If you believe this is happening, document it with photos or video.
To all Ron Paul Supporters in Washoe and Clark Counties:
It gets more and more interesting as the state Republican party continues to change the rules in the last week before the caucus....
If you are a registered Republican, but the party does *not* have your name on the voter rolls at the caucus, the Nevada State Republican Party has informed us that you may obtain a provisional ballot and vote.
What does this mean?
This means that *all* registered Republicans should exercise their franchise to vote, show up at their caucus location and be sure to cast their vote for Ron Paul!
Locate your Caucus
The Nevada GOP caucus locator http://www.nvgopcaucus.com/ is providing inaccurate caucus location data to many Republicans statewide.
They are working on the issue, but it may not be resolved by caucus day. Please bear in mind, that the majority of the information is correct. That being said, as of midnight last night, information was still incorrect for thousands of Nevadan Republicans.
If you have any question at all about the location of your caucus, please do not hesitate to call the campaign. We will provide you with your correct caucus location information.
If you live in Nye County or Clark County, call the Las Vegas HQ at 702-430-1407.
For the rest of Nevada, please call the Sparks call center at 775-331-1570.
Folks, we have the numbers to win this caucus on Saturday. All that needs to happen is for YOU to be there!
