Welcome to the Nevada State Headquarters

Ron Paul's presidential campaign for freedom, peace, and prosperity is growing by the day. Our goal is to win, and we know we only have one shot at electing Dr. Paul.

We need to convert all of our excitement and energy into Republican caucus votes for Ron Paul.
Delegate Selection Process

The best way for you to do that is to attend your Republican Party caucus meeting, currently scheduled for January 19, 2008, and run for county party delegate from your precinct or vote for other Ron Paul supporters in your precinct who are running for county party delegate.

This is vitally important for the campaign as there is no Republican primary in Nevada. The caucus is the one and only way to win Nevada for Ron Paul!
Instructions for Caucus Day

Instructions for Caucus Day -- Print out and take it with you to the caucus the day of the caucus. This is vitally important.

If you have any questions at all during the caucus, please call either of our two HQs in Nevada listed on the left-hand side.

Also, contact us find out more about how to become a county party delegate for Ron Paul!
Caucus Vote Monitoring
Caucus Monitoring

We are encouraging all of our supporters to be vigilant and hope you will volunteer to monitor the results of the precinct caucus you participate in.

Here is a convenient form you can print out to record your precinct caucus results. Please print it out and make sure to bring it with you. Complete it and call in the results. Then mail in the hardcopy per the instructions on the bottom of the form.

Poll Watching

The campaign is permitted three official straw ("non-binding presidential preference") poll watchers. I know many people would like to participate at this level, but if more than three attempt to assert themselves as poll watchers at the same caucus site, we will place ourselves at a significant disadvantage relative to other campaigns.

So, if you would like to be a poll watcher either
1) Send your name, precinct number, caucus site location and contact information to (Clark and Nye Counties) [email protected] or (All Other Counties) [email protected]
2) Be cool. If there are more than three of you who show up to watch the poll, just quietly choose three

Please call in your poll watching results to
Clark and Nye Counties: 702-430-1407
All other Counties: 775-331-1570
When you call them in, please leave your name, county, caucus site location, and contact information along with the results.
Latest News
Urgent Update #3 - Affidavits/Who Can Vote

This varies from county to county. As of the last update from the state central committee insofar as it is comprehensible, affidavits will be made available to all of the counties and precincts. However, the use of those affidavits will be subject to the direction of the County Central Committees and Chairs.

For example, in Nye County, apparently the only people who will be able to sign the affidavits and vote are 17 year olds who will be 18 as of the general election. In two other counties, a person who does not appear on the voter roll will have the opportunity to sign an affidavit stating that they are a registered Republican and participate in the caucus. They will be able to vote on a provisional ballot, but the vote will be held until verified. However, it is as of yet undetermined whether those provisional ballot totals will be reported to the state and, hence, the media.

In Clark County, it appears that it may boil down to how vigilant the caucus chairs are or what the precinct caucuses themselves decide. Some might end up sticking to the original rule, i.e. that only republicans that appear on the voter roll may participate. Others locations may allow all to participate by signing affidavits.

Please bear in mind that it is the provisional totals that could, in many cases, be reported to the state party and, hence, to the media. Provisional totals could include any unverified voter who does not appear on the voter roll who signs the affidavit. Which means we should be vigilant to unscrupulousness. It is possible that busloads of people who are not registered Republican or even from out of state, Republican or not, are allowed into the caucuses or at least into the straw ("unbinding - presidential preference") poll. If you believe this is happening, document it with photos or video.

To all Ron Paul Supporters in Washoe and Clark Counties:

It gets more and more interesting as the state Republican party continues to change the rules in the last week before the caucus....

If you are a registered Republican, but the party does *not* have your name on the voter rolls at the caucus, the Nevada State Republican Party has informed us that you may obtain a provisional ballot and vote.

What does this mean?

This means that *all* registered Republicans should exercise their franchise to vote, show up at their caucus location and be sure to cast their vote for Ron Paul!
Locate your Caucus

The Nevada GOP caucus locator http://www.nvgopcaucus.com/ is providing inaccurate caucus location data to many Republicans statewide.

They are working on the issue, but it may not be resolved by caucus day. Please bear in mind, that the majority of the information is correct. That being said, as of midnight last night, information was still incorrect for thousands of Nevadan Republicans.

If you have any question at all about the location of your caucus, please do not hesitate to call the campaign. We will provide you with your correct caucus location information.

If you live in Nye County or Clark County, call the Las Vegas HQ at 702-430-1407.
For the rest of Nevada, please call the Sparks call center at 775-331-1570.

Folks, we have the numbers to win this caucus on Saturday. All that needs to happen is for YOU to be there!

I've heard Jesse Benton mention before regarding numbers to win Nevada... What is the substance to this? Will we have an upset today in Nevada? :)

We may well pull an upset if we don't get tripped up over the shit the NV GOP is slinging so hard and fast at us.

fair elections aren't rocket science

{re-post / blimpin' for freedom}

Think how simple a fair election would be:

simple easy fair paper ballots with security feature involving a tear-off stub w/ unique serial number and your signature halfway on each piece. In other words you sign on the perforation, then tear-off and keep your stub w/ the bottom half of your signature. Put your stub together with your ballot and the two parts of your signature match up... with an additional hand-written unique "ident-phrase" chosen by the voter. Full accounting of the total number of blanks and the range of unique serial numbers is made public before the election by the election supervisor.

• the ballots are checked for any problems, then dropped into a large clear plastic ballot box - the supervisor of elections is the one and only individual allowed by law to open this box. The box is always in full view of the public - before, during and after the voting. No bullsh*t "chain-of-custody" scam because the ballots never GO ANYWHERE! The People count the votes immediately following the election together - with anyone allowed to watch. Two representative of each candidate are allowed to participate in the actual counting with the election supervisor in charge following pre-determined and infallible procedure w/ multiple redundant checks. The results are visible during the process to all. The final results are public knowledge immediately. No electronic ANYTHING.

• exit polling should be done by a public organization, not a secret MSM cabal... All reporting of results should be held until all polls are closed. The MainSleaze Media need harsh new regulation regarding fairness of election coverage, and should no longer be allowed to characterize any candidate as "major", "top tier", "leading", "fringe", "longshot", etc etc etc

Rumsfield replacement (Robert Gates) was director of voting company

by Bev Harris
November 9, 2006

Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfield will resign, reportedly to be replaced by former CIA director Robert Gates.

Gates was on the board of directors of VoteHere, a strange little company that was the biggest elections industry lobbyist for the Help America Vote Act (HAVA). VoteHere spent more money than ES&S, Diebold, and Sequoia combined to help ram HAVA through. And HAVA, of course, was a bill sponsored by by convicted Abramoff pal Bob Ney and K-street lobbyist buddy Steny Hoyer. HAVA put electronic voting on steroids.

You can find copies of the VoteHere lobbying forms here:
http://sopr.senate.gov/cgi-win/m_opr_viewer.exe?DoFn=0

I can't get them to save to pdf, perhaps you can. Enter search terms in both "registrant" and "client" fields and put in terms "Rhoads" "Livingston" and "Votehere" (one at a time.). Then look at the gravy train while it was in the process of derailing American democracy.

I first became acquainted with VoteHere when I met a source, Dan Spillane, who is the wonderful guy that identified the Diebold source code modules for me after I found the Diebold files. He is the person who introduced me, and subsequently everyone else, to the odd role of The Election Center and R. Doug Lewis in the elections industry.

Spillane also filled me in on The Livingston Group, VoteHere lobbyists, run by Bob Livingston -- the fellow that Hustler publisher Larry Flynt outed during the Bill Clinton blow job days. Larry Flynt offered a million dollars to anyone who could locate a Republican congressman committing adultery, and out popped peccadilloes by Livingston.

Livingston couldn't live that one down, so he resigned his post as House Speaker-Elect and became a lobbyist -- but that's not all! He also launched a group called "Center for Democracy" which was going to "monitor elections." This group also featured several good old boys from the tobacco industry and some mining companies.

Former VoteHere test engineer Dan Spillane was looking into all this because he had been fired after he questioned the certification process on a touch-screen system in which he had identified 250 flaws. It was way back in November 2002 that Spillane told me, "The voting machine industry is a house of cards. And the certification and testing process is the bottom card in the house of cards."

BUT DON'T RUN OUT OF THE ROOM TO TAKE A SHOWER YET. There's more.

VoteHere was a company shilling cryptographic solutions and filled with NSA types (another director was Admiral Bill Owens, another crony of Rummy,Perle and Wolfowitz). For some reason this company claims it was unable to prevent itself from being hacked. In this alleged hack, VoteHere claims that someone stole their source code. Said source code was offered to me in October 2003, an obvious attempt at entrapment which I refused.

Nevertheless, VoteHere claimed to the media that its master security experts had supposedly "tracked" the hacker and had identified the hacker as an activist in the election reform community.

For some reason, it was decided that I should be investigated in connection with this "hack" of VoteHere -- nevermind that I can't remember how to change the password on my own laptop. Therefore I was interviewed by the Secret Service several times about this. Curiously, they never seemed to ask any questions about VoteHere, only my role in finding the Diebold files and publishing the Diebold memos.

This nonsense eventually culminated in a gag order and a letter from the U.S. Attorney to appear in front of a federal gr and jury with information on all the visitors to the Black Box Voting Web site. (As if they couldn't get that in less dramatic ways in post-Patriot Act America). Attorney Lowell Finley (now with http://www.VoterAction.org ) went to bat for me on this. A reporter named George Howland from the Seattle Weekly also got wind of it. When it hit the press, and with Lowell Finley's help, their harassment of me stopped.

VoteHere never sold any voting machines that I can find, but apparently did set up some deals to embed its cryptography into some voting systems. We found memos in the Diebold trash about VoteHere's crypto-crap, and Maryland Director of Elections Linda Lamone shows up in VoteHere-related letters. Sequoia Voting Systems signed an agreement with VoteHere, but its not clear to me whether they ever did anything about it.

Robert Gates stepped away from VoteHere shortly before he showed up in Chapter 8 of my book, Black Box Voting, in a short bit about the VoteHere company history. You can read that here:
http://www.blackboxvoting.org/bbv_chapter-8.pdf

I don't know about you, but I'd rather use a paper, pencil, and count by hand at the polling place than have former CIA director Robert Gates fooling around with my vote.

But that's just me.

Yeah, it's coming from all angles, and angles that won't be ignored by God on their passing.
