In the running to have closest exoplanet Alpha Centauri Bb named after them: Heinlein, Sagan, Asimov… and Ron Paul

"Don't forget to vote for TIBER in the contest to replace the name for Alpha Centauri Bb," Aldrin told his nearly 800,000 followers in a Twitter update last week. As of this writing, Tiber is No. 17 on the charts with 35 votes — ranking below Amara as well as Heinlein, Pele, Sagan, Asimov and Ron Paul.

However, this is unusual voting, it is 99 cents per vote and it looks like you can vote as many times as you want to pay for....

Essentially, right now some people paid about $260 more for the number one name (Amara, the name of a girl a guy who submitted it was asking to marry him -- she already said yes) than for Ron Paul who is in 11th place. Seems like the numbers could vary widely at any moment....
