In a good run for Precinct Chairman. Help a brother out!

My fellow southerner knows the song of the whippoorwill and the air in-which it is sung.

How are you using a Chip-In for your campaign?

I am just curious, because I wwanted ot use a Chipin for mine and was told it might be illegal based on election law since the money would be going to my Paypal and not my Campaign Committee account.

AFAIK, he's running for a party office not a governmental one.

Actually - I just verified with the NJ ELEC that Paypal CAN be used to raise money for my campaign, it just has to be designated as its own bank account and each individual contributor must be tracked.

So I ask - does anyone know if, when using ChipIn, each individual contributor is tracked? And if so, to what level? (I would likely need a bit more than just a screename, for example).

with paypal apparently my information went out. Imagine my dismay when, after donating to this possibly shady Ron Paul supporter group for the airing of High Tide in 2008 I got an email from a total stranger asking if I wanted a free t shirt as thanks for my donations.

I never did reply to him.... (sorry Corey or whomever).

That was organized through a ChipIn?

Yes.

It doesn't ask for employer but you only have to use best efforts to get info from those who donate over $200 each as I understand it. I could be wrong, though. But if that is so, maybe you can just ask them to send you the info, since your email address will also show up on paypal.
