Impeachment 2.0: When Will The Backfire Begin?

Yesterday the House impeachment 2.0 team marched impeachment papers over to the Senate for trial. With even President Biden doubting a conviction of citizen Trump, is there a point where what increasingly appears to be a show trial backfires politically for the Democrats and for a president who is desperately trying to sell the slogan "unity" to a divided America? Is there any Constitutional provision for removing a president from office who has already been removed from office? Will this start a trend in retroactively impeaching past presidents? Or pro-actively impeaching presidential candidates?

Oh, I certainly hope so. These are outcomes to be hoped for fervently.

Mass democracy on the present scale is (and can be nothing but) a farce - and the more obvious the farce, the less seriously it is taken.

The more people exposed to the nude Emperor's taint, the better ...

Except that candidates such as Ron Paul, Rand Paul and Tulsi Gabbard are the types of candidates it will be used on.

As Ron said "they will impeach everybody!"

Most likely. At least to start with ...

As Ron said "they will impeach everybody!"

Eventually, perhaps.

As I said, mass democracy at the present scale is an utter farce. It can't be anything else.

This is so regardless of whether they go so far as to start impeaching the likes of Ron, Rand, Tulsi, et al.

But if they do start "impeach[ing] everybody", then at least the farce will become obvious to more and more people, which is a good thing.

And the sooner, the better.

With Trump sidelined for now, it will become more obvious to everyone that the Democrat leadership is the problem and not the solution.

I think they WANTED us to know that they stole the election.

It serves multiple purposes. It INCITES violence. And they WANT violence because they are good at it. It gives them an EXCUSE to apply extremist laws against regular people. Since they have control of the MSM, they believe they can use it to make US look like the "Bad Guys". Probably most importantly, it follows their OPPRESSOR VS OPPRESSED PARADIGM, because that OPPRESSED PARADIGM enables everything else I just said. VIOLENCE is a TRAP. Dont fall for it.

We have a LIFE THREATENING PROBLEM as THERE IS NO VOTING OUR WAY OUT OF THIS. There is NO PAPERWORK that will make them "just leave office and give up".

I really think at this point the ONLY solution we may have left is MILITARY ARRESTS. They are not gonna follow the Law. The highest courts are compromised. Our Elected Representatives represent THEM not US. The Executive Branch is an Unconscious Rubber Stamp. I think the ONLY meaningful solution that does not involve a shitload of bloodshed is if LAW ENFORCEMENT ARRESTS those that are OBVIOUSLY EXTREMISTS, and PROSECUTE them in MILITARY TRIBUNALS with HONEST MILITARY JUDGES.

Trump should be voted out for office, what happened was a disaster. The Majority leader Chuck Schumer was correct on the fact that barring the former head of state is the way to end this.

The backlash may not matter if they stack the court, legalize 11+ million voters, and make DC and Puerto Rico states.

In a republic, the people decide who should and shouldn't serve.

Chuck Schumer definitely does not represent me.

No, he was impeached, that is how he is being dealt with as a former head of state, as well when he was.

Impeachment is for current officers.

He doesn't need to be impeached. Presumably, the voters removed him. In a republic, that's how it's supposed to work.
