I'm not happy. The Revolution: A Manifesto dropped to #14

it never was #1 off all books, just #1 in a certain category (politics or something)

i bought one..
 
Amazon can set the ranking to whatever they believe will maximize their profits. Their strategy of dangling it near the top, then dropping it down is no different than dangling a bait above the the fish or a ball in front of the kitten.
 
It reached no.3 in the 'all books' category a couple of days ago.

Volume is the main thing. Can't expect a book that isn't printed yet to go viral.
 
Do all preordered copies count for first week sales? We might as well throw the white flag if we cant make that book a best seller its first week out
 
Lesson: we should have tried to get media coverage when it was #3. Maybe we can still salvage this? Is it still on the weekly charts maybe?
