I'm back!

This is Fancy. We were going to meet her on a transport van coming from Texas in Southern MN not far from our house. We got a call around 2am on a Sunday morning that the van had been in an accident in Des Moines and was totaled. All people and dogs were fine. But very pregnant Fancy and all others were stranded. We drove to Iowa and picked her and some others up.

Fancy was VERY pregnant and we suspected she wouldn't make it home before puppies came, so we went to Walmart in Des Moines and bought a TON of bath towels and lined the whole back of our ford explorer with them. I was sitting in back comforting her, and she turned around and had a puppy right into my hand!! Four pups and three hours later we made it home with the bunch.

Someone had donated a DNA kit to the shelter and they used it for Fancy. She was half pit bull and half standard dachshund. She was absolutely the friendliest dog to every living thing I have EVER met.

After the Fancy thing, people celebrated us and were saying we needed to have a show, Extreme Fostering. :)

Hi all! I've been away for too long. Busy life. My wife and I bought a house and have been fostering dogs for over two years nearly without a break.

I'll post some cute pics to this thread over the next little bit. May they brighten your day. :)

Greetings !

Our Fancy girl, half pit half dachshund, all love. Friendliest dog I ever met. This is her meeting a random couple at the shelter for the first time.

This guy and his three siblings are a total breed mystery. We got them from the shelter with no mom to be found at around eight weeks. We were running out of original puppy names and let my wife's young nieces name them. This one is Doug. Doug got adopted by one of my wife's cousins! We get to see him once in awhile. He is a giant now.

So many good boys.

That one there has some Newfie in him.

Been reading about the shooting in Texas and it's depressing so I'm focusing on saving pets again. I've driven out to Sioux Falls twice in the past three days for transports. This morning I got three dogs as well as a mama cat and her five kittens. This cute guy rode in the seat next to me the entire three hour drive home. He was a perfect gentleman despite likely having little to no human interaction ever.
