Ron Paul heeds the warnings of our founding fathers, and indicated in the text of the constitution - "Avoiding entangling alliances".
Dr Paul does not single out Israel though... He wants to drop all foreign aid - which also includes the enemies of Israel. Muslim and Arab nations who, when combined, receive nearly 7 times the foreign aid that Israel does... I think the net result would actually favor Israel, financially and in terms of sovereignty.
So its not just about Israel.. Dr Paul said it best when he said, “Borrowing money from China, or printing it out of thin air - to hand out overseas, in an attempt to purchase friends, has been a failing foreign policy”. Just meditate on that phrase, and how ridiculous our foreign policy really is...
We give money to Pakistan, and then bomb them. We give money to Israel, for their security, and then we give more money to their enemies.
The US foreign policy is just another good example of what happens when someone (government) is spending other people's money (tax payer/currency holder) on someone else.
