I'll be damned if Rush Limbaugh isn't sounding like Ron Paul today (12/17)

It makes no sense, that when someone you don't care for (especially on this forum) starts speaking more truthfully...that you condemn them. What is wrong with you folks? Either you WANT people to come to liberty or you don't..make up your young minds. tones

All Rush and Hannity do is get all the small gov people corralled and then try to herd them to vote for neocons. They are as honest as rattlesnakes only more dangerous.

I'll never forget Rush in 2000ish saying, (paraphrased) "trust me folks, I know George W. Bush and he is a real conservative." I've never trusted that shill ever since.

What Rush and Hannity due is give free market conservativism a giant turd stain. Why? because they desecrate conservative values by wanting to expand government powers over you, by cheerleeding the war on terror, and expensive foreign policy. The two are mutually exclusive. You can't say I want lower taxes, a smaller government, fiscal responsibility, and then say, lets expand the military and homeland security, blah blah. They are liars, and are leading people astray. They are also so unpopular among moderates, that they now question conservativism as a whole. They are thinking , these consecrvatives are callous, warmonger fascists, so they must be wrong. Mission accomplished, NEOCONS!

These guys are there to confuse and lead astray. I don't think it is coincidence that 90% of "conservative pundits" are of the neocon brand. I would think that a much larger percentage of those who understand conservative principles would kind of support on a philosophical level, the whole package.

Is his latest multi-million dollar contract available publicly? (I understand that there is no obligation for it to be and is his personal business, just asking.)

Just caught a few minutes today---he was reading a piece from Lew Rockwell!!!

I still think he's a tool but if he leads people to lewrockwell.com, I'm not complaining.

Rush actually helped turn me into a Ron Paul Republican (I didn't know it then, I didn't know who Ron Paul was) during the Clinton years. His show was mostly making fun of Liberals for thinking they can run the economy and run people's lives better than the economy can run itself and people can run things for themselves. Great fun!

Anyway, the Bush years were his water carrying years, so I didn't listen to him. I was pretty astounded when he actually admitted to being a water-carrier and people didn't immediately stop listening to a word he said. Hello?

I don't understand why people give rush an ounce of creditability. He was deliberately misleading his listeners months ago when he was stating that there was nothing wrong with the economy...yeah right, rush. That and the fact that he would hardly mention RP is why I don't listen to his bs anymore.

It is important to realize that people like Hannity and Limbaugh invoke all of these wonderfully conservative values only when they are attacking the Democrats. Hannity sounded like a Ron Paul supporter a few days ago. BUT, the very minute they are faced with the crimes of the Republicans they totally go into NWO propaganda mode. Parrots for the sacred "war on terror." etc. They are just doing their job of fighting for the "right" in the false "left-right" paradigm. NEVER will they step up and condemn both parties and their universal commonalities that preserve the elite power stranglehold and it's continually unfolding agenda.

Bingo. We have a winner.

And another BINGO. Yeah I remember him talking about how good the economy was and what a buying opportunity these down turns were.

All these guys sound like Ron Paul, after the fact,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

If some people come to the liberty movement because they heard Rush Limbaugh read lew Rockwell...then I am happy. Maybe they will google him tones

they parrot Ron Paul to seem credible

they have to fake it to keep the sheeple from waking up and catching on to their trickery.

So, does that mean if mainstream starts talkin more about the liberty movement...then the liberty movement is phoney too? ya'll are trippin. tones

Well, to some degree he's right - anytime you have a major market move, it's destined to spring back in some magnitude. Remember, the DJ was down in the 7k range not long ago - lots of opportunities, if you knew/know what to look for.

But yeah - I don't mean to disagree - because I too was deeply frustrated by his lack of mention of Ron Paul during the election season. It blew me away how often these morons could repeatedly ask "Where is the real conservative candidate?!"

I know I'm not the only one out there who'd yell back at their radio "RON PAUL!!"

I was actually referring to back in April May June and the Dow had dipped from a high at the begining of the year of 13,500 to in that 12,500 +- range. He was touting the strong econmy and "buying opportunity". Meanwhile he marginalized Ron Paul. Those of us who follower Ron Paul knew where the Dow was going and that is right where it ended up, 8600. If you were a buyer when Rush was touting buy you'd be down about 30%.

I'm no fan of Glenn Beck but at least he got the economy right. Rush's hindsite is 20/20.
