IL - Man who offered ride to girls in a snowstorm charged with disorderly conduct.

You're missing the point. If the girls need a ride, and the police are notified, then the state can investigate the parents for not properly caring for the girls. Foster kids get a federal bounty, you know.
I believe you are correct , this would lead to child snatching..... by the welfare state.

That is the unsaid assumption here.

As a middle aged white man, I'd find it hard to justify getting within 100 yards of any teenaged girls to render assistance of any kind.

With those children, he thought, that wretched woman must lead a life of terror. Another year, two years, and they would be watching her night and day for symptoms of unorthodoxy. Nearly all children nowadays were horrible. What was worst of all was that by means of such organizations as the Spies they were systematically turned into ungovernable little savages, and yet this produced in them no tendency whatever to rebel against the discipline of the Party. On the contrary, they adored the Party and everything connected with it. The songs, the processions, the banners, the hiking, the drilling with dummy rifles, the yelling of slogans, the worship of Big Brother -- it was all a sort of glorious game to them. All their ferocity was turned outwards, against the enemies of the State, against foreigners, traitors, saboteurs, thought-criminals. It was almost normal for people over thirty to be frightened of their own children. And with good reason, for hardly a week passed in which The Times did not carry a paragraph describing how some eavesdropping little sneak -- 'child hero' was the phrase generally used -- had overheard some compromising remark and denounced its parents to the Thought Police.
As an old guy , I too would probably not even look at or speak to first ,any young ladies who appear under 30 , so I probably would not have even noticed those kids ....

Good Lord , how long did it take you to find these ? I honestly do not see anything wrong with the very last one listed .

No, there's nothing wrong with sleeping it off in your truck instead of driving - in fact, there's everything right with that....
...unless your profession is ruining the lives of people you catch doing the exact same thing.

I always figured sleeping it off in the truck was a good thing as well, they should give little gifts for that . They could use some of the stuff they steal from others to reward the "good citizens " :)

Unless , they were friends or relatives , then I would probably growl at them , something like " why are you little miscreants not at work/school or doing something productive " :) . Then they would laugh , leave and have fun trying to top each other with the craziest 'Uncle Oyarde " rumors / stories....

...He said the right thing to do in a situation like that is to call police and tell them that the teens need a ride.
...Because, god knows, us mundanes can't do anything for ourselves anymore. Besides, they probably needed to be arrested for breaking curfew, unauthorized walking, or some such nonsense. I guarantee they were breaking some law. - AF)

Yup... they would give them a ride alright... to the police station where their parents can pick them up and their tickets for violating curfew....

... and yes, disorderly conduct is one of the "general" charges used when they can't think of anything else. Disturbing the peace/breech of peace is another.

Or even younger. I got screamed at in the produce section of the local whole foods for asking a little 5yr old girl if she needed help. she was alone and in danger of getting run over by shopping carts. lesson learned...

Lucky you made it out...

I do not see how any judge could get " disorderly " out of this . And , a 750 dollar fine , is ridiculous , excessive and criminal in itself .

No argument there, but it happens every day. The same with Chicago gun control - they claim that law enforcement needs the option, to make it "easier" for them to get criminals. Its all well and good until people realize that they have become the criminals.

So is the assumption that talking to females of unknown age is now illegal? First, the guy couldn't have known the ages of random women on the street and god knows they don't look like "kids" anymore, in development, dress or attitude. So was he arrested because he approached girls that happened to be underage? Unless he propositioned them directly then he did nothing illegal that I can see. Or is now presumed that if a girl is of unknown age that you can't even speak to them without checking ID first?

I recommend AF's link to http://www.injusticeeverywhere.com/.

Many here think that these posts by AF are just one-offs amounting to no more than a hill of beans. The fact is he only posts the most egregious. Every single day there are multiples of abuses ranging from the sick and twisted to simple injustice.

If there were a 'gang', call them the 'Blue Hooligans', that every single day conducted themselves in this order the nation would be calling for their heads.

And these articles that AF posts are only those that have been REPORTED or received MEDIA attention. I guarantee that the number can easily be ten fold the daily report excepting that some are too afraid to speak out.

I'm not quite sure what this man did that was "illegal".

That is, of course, the point of all this: to keep us ridiculously hopping from one foot to the other, in a vain attempt to comply with the un-compliable, all the while the system laughs its ass off at us.

That is, until we are no longer amusing.

That's when the real trouble starts.
