If the U.S. splits into Several Regions, Where Would You Want to Be?

Great Lakes.

That's not really in your poll, but I see the area as an ecological utopia with agricultural lands, fresh water, protected trade routes, wilderness, and minimal risks of natural disasters.

Plus, there are great (yet muddied) traditions of private militias, independent musical thought, technological innovation, reciprocity with nature, and multicultural refuge.

Already here. And this is where I will stay.
