If Ron Paul is not on the ballot...

If I can't write in Ron Paul I will vote for Chuck Baldwin/Constitution Party.

His platform is identical to Ron Paul's. Identical.

read here: http://www.newswithviews.com/baldwin/baldwin445.htm

Um, Baldwin isn't anywhere near as worried about the economy as Dr. Paul. Baldwin says he supports sound money, but that was like one sentence in there. Paul wrote more than that... like a book.

Go look at the CP Preamble on their Platform page on their website....

.....

Yeah that's not "identical" to Dr. Paul.

I will vote Libertarian, Bob Barr or not. I hope all us, every single one of us in fact, will do the very same.

Exactly.

Barr hasn't received the nomination yet. He's not a terrible choice, and he'd do a lot better in my eyes and the eyes of many others if he'd answer the outstanding questions about his policy positions and his PAC.

You know there's something wrong with this country when there's a political party advocating Liberty.
You know there's something wrong with this country when there's a political party advocating the Constitution.
You know there's something wrong with this country when there's not a political party advocating Socialism.

Actually, there are a number of parties advocating socialism. In addition to the obvious ones (the Democrats and Republicans), several others exist including the Socialist Party USA. I believe the name of their presidential candidate is Brian Moore (there was an article on him on tpw recently).

If Ron is not on my ballot here in MI, I will carry with me a black sharpee marker and write in big bold print on my ballot Ron Paul. I do not care if they do not count my vote. After all we have been through in this movement to vote for anyone else just seems very wrong to me. My voice will be heard even if my vote is not.

Damn lol

I was hoping I worded it perfectly but I guess not, maybe you can help. I'm trying to say that it's obvious this country, a free one backed by a Constitution, is in deep shit when there's a need out there for people to form a Libertarian party to defend liberty and a Constitution Party to defend the Constitution. If this country was truly free and adhered to its Constitution, then these parties wouldn't be needed--and they weren't from 1776-1971. Also, since this is supposed to be a free country, there is expected to be a political group to advocate socialism, the Socialist Party. And there used to be especially in the early 20th century. And it was big for a third party. I think wikipedia said it was pulling like 3-5% in general elections at one point. Nowadays it's really small because as you said, the Rs, and mainly the Ds have adopted so many socialist principles therefore there is no need for a Socialist Party. And this is why the LP is I think the 'biggest' third party in the country.

I hope that clarifies my sig better. Again, if you can think of better wording, it would be appreciated.

I'd prefer a purist like Mary Ruwart, but if Barr gets the LP nomination then he's certainly better than Obama or McCain...

At this moment, I have no intention of voting for anyone other than Ron Paul. I, and so many other people, have spent too much time to not cast a ballot for Dr. Paul.

Ron Paul calls Bob Barr out in his book, I see no point in Paul's doing this unless he did not want us to vote for him and/or he was trying to warn us about him. I mean, he does not mention any of the 3 major candidates, just Barr and negatively.

Has anyone else ever brought up the fact that Paul seems to to be opposed to Barr?

On what page number of the Manifesto does Paul talk about Barr?

I will write in Ron Paul - one way or another... You will serve no purpose in voting Constitutional party or Libertarian in this election as the one true "protest vote" is and will be RON PAUL !!

You people are confused, Today Barr is a good choice, tomorrow's Baldwin a the lesser evil, make up your minds!

If Paul is not on the ballot i will write in with a marker RON PAUL anywhere that wont effect the machine to cast the vote for someone else.... Or just walk away with a smile on my face i did not vote for the lesser evil anymore.

Ohh and you Obama fans need to get off that KOOLAID! Shameful!

Ughhh the problem is, that is why i hate people that vote straight repub or democrat.. i won't be able vote Libertarian even though i want to because i don't trust Bob Barr, his past actions speak way louder to me. Right now i am leaning towards Baldwin
