If Ron Paul is not on the ballot, I'm seriously considering Gary.

I slightly prefer him to Ron Paul on ideology, I just don't like Gary's strategies or lack of ability to rally support. Johnson would make a better senator than Presidential candidate, but I will vote for him definitely.

Meh, if we couldn't get Ron to win a nomination there is no way a smaller, less enthusiastic group will win Gary the general.
I mean lets face it, besides a few legislative and philosophical shortcomings, he simply lacks that inspirational tone that moves crowds.
Y'all can take the time out of your day if it makes you feel good, I'll be voting right here in this chair.

The dynamic is not the same in the general. A small cadre of enthusiastic support and funding can get Gary to 15% (he's already at 7-8%), which puts him in the debate, at which point anything can happen.

I know he was pushing him pretty hard, and Jesse Ventura has endorsed him and is pushing him in every interview. I disagree with them because this is not the guy who we want to have as the face of the freedom movement. Jettisoning principles and ideas for 'cost / benefit' bullshit is a big step backward

GJ doesn't jettison principles, he just approaches politics pragmatically rather than ideologically. Ideology is a great way to attract a small group of dedicated supporters, but pragmatic libertarianism is what will eventually attract the masses of voters needed to turn that core support into a movement capable of winning the office.
