Because it's a no-brainer. Take a cue from Rand. He isn't writing in Jesus or staying home to pout.

Or take a cue from Ron who has no self-interest in party politics... Ron has said repeatedly that he won't vote for either, but that Hillary may actually be less of a threat to liberty because she'd be hampered (a little) by opposing political interests.

Since the poll is asking for who I would "prefer" as opposed to "who I would vote for", I gave Trump a slight edge in realpolitik terms. Clinton and Trump think alike on a great number of issues, but Trump's more mixed messages on certain topics and his anti-PC persona make him slightly more appealing. Having said that, I'm just going to sit this election out on the presidential level unless the libertarians put up someone who isn't pro-infanticide.

I suppose that also means you shouldn't have supported Ted Cruz since he abuses his children and as far as I know doesn't advocate for making oxycontin illegal to prescribe, which is virtually the same as heroin.

The only way Trump wins is if Hillary collapses due to scandal. If she avoids that, then she can't possibly lose to him.

Hillary is a terrible candidate, and almost any Republican could beat her. But Trump is so universally reviled outside of those 10 million or so people who love him, that he's the one person she would almost certainly beat. Barring a scandal that puts Hillary even worse shape than Trump, the election will have record-low turnout, and still have Hillary beating Trump by record margins.

The only thing I'm pedaling here is logic - and you are right - there are a good chunk of people out there like yourself who don't respond to reason or logic, they only respond to emotional arguments. So that I suppose makes me unpalatable. But I'm ok with that, because reason and logic is superior to operating purely on emotion and I am not going to devolve myself to your level and propagate that sort of nonsense.

You are the one who said you wouldn't vote for a libertarian who wanted heroin decriminalized, yet Ron Paul in a national debate argued for the decriminalization of heroin.

I doubt I'd cast a vote for Trump, but Clinton is by far the worst of any of the candidates who have campaigned this time around. To say that Trump is worse than Clinton is just insane, IMO.

The poll queston states who would you "prefer", not who would you support.

There are war mongering credentials of Hillary exposed here. If exposing war mongering credentials of Hillary, Obama, Rafael Cruz etc in your view equals promotion of Trump, than your stance is negated by your own statment above that Trump is also a war monger.
